Happy Valentine's Day with Roger's Daytime

Hi there my Stampin' friends,

I have a different sort of post for you today.  I haven't shared this with you yet, but I am a very lucky demonstrator - for 1 more reason than the obvious!  Let me tell you why...

A few times a year, usually coinciding with a holiday, I do a little Stampin'UP! crafting with the folks at Roger's Barrie on their daily show Daytime!

They are an awesome group of people and it is A LOT of fun!  I get to create some projects that make a display and then I teach the hosts how to make them all the while promoting Stampin'UP!

I was there on Wednesday to work on some Valentine's Day projects.  I took some pictures of my display for the set and my projects and thought I would share them with you.

Here are the pictures.

This is a picture frame I decorated using the Banner Framelits and the Hearts Frameltis and the fabulous DSP stack from the new All Occasions Catalogue!

This picture has some decorated Valentine's suckers and a card we made on the show using my new favourite punch - the Scalloped tag punch!  I also used the stamp Love you to the Moon - perfect for the little boys!

This one is a little hard to see, but it is a gift bag all prettied up usinig some of the awesome Vellum paper from the All Occasions Catalogue, some red glitter paper from the Annual Cataloge (I used a scrap of the negative punch holes from some small glittery hearts).  You can't see it well here, but I stamped some pink and red hearts directly on the bag - I loved how it turned out!

Do you have any of the muslin bags in your collection?  You will need these!  Perfect for a small teacher gift - filled with candy.  I put the candy in our cellophane bags then inserted them in the muslin bag for a better presentation.  There it is...that Scallped Tag Punch!  Have I told you I LOVE it!

This is a picture of my whole display. We made the cards and tags live on air just to the left of this shot.  SO much fun!
Here is a close up of another Muslin bag with a different tag as well as some diffently decorated Valentine's suckers.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Western Theme Birthday

Hi there!

I have a birthday card to show you today.  I used one of my favourite birthday sets....Bring On The Cake!  It is a really awesome birthday set because it covers options for both the inside and out!

This Wish Big Stamp with the hand reminded me of a western feel, so I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for my card base.  I added a layer of  Early Espresso and then I tied is all together with some DSP I had left over from the DSP Stack that was in the Holiday catalogue.

I used my all time FAVOURITE ribbon...the Chevron ribbon in Early Espresso!  Ymmo!  For a little added extra, I punched a small yellow star with my punch from the Merry Mini punches set and popped it up with a dimensional!

Ready to see my card?  Here it is...

Let me know what you think!

Bring on the Cake

Hello my Stampin' friends!

I have a birthday card for you here today.  I wanted to use the some left over paper from one of my DSP packs from the holiday catalogue.  I love it because it doesn't at all say Christmas and it gave me a very different colour combo than I would have thought of - what a great way to get inspired, wouldn't you say?

I also knew that I wanted to use the Bring on the Cake stampset!  If you could only buy one birthday stampset, this is the one I would choose!  It has 13 stamps in it and it has many options for both the outside and inside greeting!  Perfect!

Here is my card.....

I started with a Smoky Slate card base - I LOVE this colour - then a layer of Island Indigo, then Pool Party.  The strip of leftover DSP makes it all match!   This is truly a combination that I wouldn't have come up with on my own but boy, do I love it!

I added some different sized Rhinestones scattered on the top and I added some mini Pearls to the 'fringe' on the cake plate that I stamped in Smokey Slate.  Here is a closer look....

I hope you like my card today, let me know what you think!

Teeny Tiny Wishes Pink Valentine

Hello there!  Thanks for stopping by!

Just a quick post today with a very girly valentine - I just couldn't resist doing something really pink for this one.   I took my color cues from the Designer Series Paper (DSP)...it makes things SO easy!

I started with a basic Whisper White card base and added a layer of Rose Red that matches perfectly to the diamond pattern of the DSP - it is from a retired paper pack.  I cut the white heart using my Heart framelits and used the Full Heart punch to cut the Blushing Bride.

Here is a picture of my card.....

I dry embossed my Blushing Bride heart with my Adorning Accents embossing folder.  I also used the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch to frame the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes stampset.

And of course a girly card must have some rhinestones!  I just love that they come in different sizes!  I used a larger one on my heart and two smaller ones on either side of my greeting - a perfect way to draw your attention there!

Here is a little closer look at the card.

Here is the complete list of supplies I used...........

Whisper White Cardstock
Rose Red Cardstock
Blushing Bride Cardstock
Designer Series Paper
White Ribbon
Rhinestones
BigShot
Adorning Accents Embossing Folder
Word Window Punch
Modern Label Punch
Full Heart Punch
Heart Framelits
