Pawfect Birthday Card!

Hello there,

It has been a while since I have posted, so glad you could join me!  I am getting back into the swing of things and getting fall off to a great start.  I have my three boys ready to head back to school on Tuesday and here in southern Ontario, the leave are just starting to turn those beautiful fall colours.  My favourite!

To help me get back into full swing, I decided to play along with The Paper Players for their sketch challenge this week.  Here it is...

I LOVE this!  I decided to pull out some of my favourites to play along.  I used the Dog Builder Punch and Coordinating stampset Happy Tails to create this super cute dog.  With three boys, I can always use a card with a dog on it.  lol

I chose my colours after I decided what DSP to use.  The DSP is an oldy but goodie as they say, one I have been saving (hoarding) and I love it!  My cardbase is Early Espresso, then next layer is Pool Party.

I stamped my puppy using Early Expresso onto Early Espresso cardstock.  I popped him up using dimensionals and added him to a 2" circle that was cut using my circle punch.

The greeting is from the Ride with Me stampset.  I finished it all off with a bow.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

 Hi there,

so glad you could stop by for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop!  This month's theme is back to school!  Eeek!  I don't even want to think about getting this crew ready for it.  I even almost missed my blog hop this month - August has totally snuk up on me.  lol

My oldest is going into third year university, my second going into grade ten and my youngest will be in grade six.

Each and every year, I know my boys and their teachers all can use some hand sanitizer.  All those germs need some combat.  Decorating and creating holders for hand sanitizers are one of my favourite things to make.

Here is the one I created for the boys and their teachers this year.

How cute did this turn out?  I just love making strawberry punch art! For these strawberries, I used the Stitched Be Mine dies and cut out a heart in Real Red. I then used the Flourish Dies and cut one of the flowers in Old Olive for the stem.  I love all of the stitching and extra details that these dies have given my strawberry.  A perfect match I think.

Here is the scent of hand sanitizer.

The sanitizer simply slides in and out.  I used the Stitched Labels Dies to create the tag and my greeting is from Flourishing Phrases.  Of course I added a double twine bow to finish it off.

All three lined up ready to be delivered.

I think these are the perfect start of the year gift for teachers and students.

Be sure to hop on through all of the blogs to see what my friends have created for back to school.
