Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Favourite Stampset!

Hello my hopping friends.

We have another fantastic hop for you this month!  We are hopping around to see everyone's all time favourite stampset - it can be current and from the annual catalogue or occasions catalogue or even retired! So many choices - think you could choose?

For my share today, I decided to show you my favourite from the current annual catalogue.  When this year's annual catalogue first came out, this stampset was the very first stampset that I wanted! The card in the catalogue completely sold me on this set!  SO much so that I totally cased it.  You can see that post here.

Which stampset is it you ask?  It is Garden in Bloom!

I LOVE the watercolour look that this stamset creates.  I love that you can create two different kinds of flowers, a cute little butterfly and the most precious little bumble bee!  Oh and that sentiment "Friends are kind to each other's hopes & cherrish each other's dreams"  I have three besties that are the exact definition of that statement - how lucky am I?!

Here is my card I made for this hop using the Garden in Bloom stamspet....
I unfortunately needed a sympathy card for a lady at work who recently lost her mother. I immediately thought the large flower was a great focal point.  My greeting is from the stampset Thoughts and Prayers.  It has the most perfect sentiments and greetings for someone who is grieving.

Thanks for hopping by!  Be sure to hop on through to all the stops.  There are some really great projects to be seen!

Next up is Rick Adkins.  You can click the icon below OR click on his name in the list at the bottom of the post.

Happy hopping!

Curtain Call of Rainbows!

Hello there,

So glad you could stop by today.

I have a fun card that I made for a really fun challenge over at Curtain Call!

Their Challenge is Rainbow - perfect for spring!

Here is the card that I made....

I combined an Easter card with the Rainbow theme - I really LOVE how it turned out.

I used one of my favourite stampsets, Work of Art!  There are just SO many uses for this stampset.  Truly..... a work of art!  :)

My greeting is from the Easter Lamb stamp and my little flowers were made using the Petite Petals Punch.

Be sure to 'hop' on over to Curtain Call to see all of the wonderful creations.

Easter with Roger's Daytime

Hello my stampin friends,

I have some fun Easter projects to share with your today.  I recently visited my friends at Roger's TV, Daytime!  We made some really cute Easter projects.

My first picture is of my whole display that I brought for the show.  I always like to display all of the projects that I made.

Here is a close up of one of my Easter cards that I made using the Schoolhouse DSP pack, Festive Flower Punch, Friends and Floral Stampset as well as the greeting on the bottom of the Easter Lamb Stamp.

The other two projects in the picture below are using the Paper Pals stampset and Pyramid Pal Thinlits and coordinating Playful Pals stampset.  I made an Easter Bunny as well as a carrot!  I just LOVE how these little guys turned out.  They perfectly hold about six little chocolate eggs - perfect for co-workers, nieces, nephews and neighbours.  I will make a few of these little guys to give away this weekend.

Here is a close up of an Easter scrapbook page I made for the show.  I used the new Sunburt Thinlit, the Tree Builder Punch, Ovals Thinlits, Fringe Scissors and the Easter Lamb Stamp.

Here is a close up of another one of the Easter cards I made for the show and will have my card class attendees make as one of their Easter cards.  It's so soft and pretty.  Again, DSP is from the Schoolhouse DSP pack.  I used my blender pens to give just a hint of colour to the grass and the ears and cheeks of this little Easter Lamb.

Oh, and my final little pyramid pal! I think he is my favourite!  A cute little frog - perfect for my boys.  An Easter frog? hmmm.....

Here is a another look at the little Easter Bunny.  (We were able to make him live on air!)

...and I couldn't resist a little honeycomb tail.

One final look at my whole display.

Here is a look behind the scenes.  This is what I see when it's not my turn to be live on camera and when the hosts are with another guest.

It is just so much fun!  I have a question about if we can view some of the footage.  If you are a Roger's customer, go to this link..http://www.rogerstv.com/show?lid=12&rid=23&sid=5754  you can view this show.  It originally aired on March 14th.

Sieze the Birthday!

Hello there,

I decided to join the fun over at Sieze the Birthday where their theme this week is 'The Great Divide'!  How fun is that? And who can't use more birthday cards in their stash, right?

So, here is the card that I came up with....

I am SO looking forward to spring.  Technically it IS spring here, but we are expecting another big snow storm this week!  UGH!

Anyway, if I create cards with flowers, maybe they will come.  :)

I used one of my favourite stampsets, Garden in Bloom.  It is just so pretty with the water coloured look of the stamps and you can create them in ANY colour and any combination!  My greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, another favourite of mine.

The patterned paper is from the DSP stack Pretty Petals and the colours are Very Vanillia, Calypsol Coral and Pear Pizzaz, all taken from the DSP.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to stop by again tomorrow, where I will have all of the projects I made for my latest appearance on Roger's TV.

Stampin' Celebration Easter Style

Hello friends,

I'm late, I'm late...for a very important date!  Are you hearing the cute little rabbit from Alice in Wonderland? - that is totally how I am feeling today.  I am late getting my submission in for our Challenge over at Stampin' Celebration!  Ugh!  This cold combined with March break has been a killer!

Anyway, I have an Easter card for you today using our fab sketch over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge.

Here is my card....

I wanted to use my new Friends and Flowers stampset because it is easy to use with the coordinating Festive Flower Builder Punch and 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  I stamped him with the new Archival Black Inak and then I coloured his ears and added some colour to his cheeks with my Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.

I used my retired Extra Small Oval Punch to create some Easter Eggs and the greeting is from And Many More.

Be sure to join us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  Our challenges are up for 2 weeks, there is lots of time to play!

Toadally Awesome Stampin' Celebration Challenge

So glad you stopped by today!  We have a Toadally Awesome challenge for you this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  :)

Some fabulous picture inspiration.....wait until you see this!
What part of these pictures did you notice first?  For me, it was the fabulous colours!  Then that cute little frog and then the patterns and finally the banners!  Oh my gosh - this is perfect inspiration for a mom of three boys!

So, can you guess what stampset I used for this card?  Yep - You're Sublime!  It has the perfect little frog for this project.

Here is my card...

What do you think? I just love how this turned out!

I started with this super cute frog from the stampset You're Sublime.  I knew I wanted him inside of a circle and then framed with another, slightly larger circle.  I also knew that I wanted some banners on my card and that they would be in the top corner after seeing how large the circles would be.  Then, I turned my attention to the colours and layers of the card base.  Once I picked the layers for the cardbase, I chose the colours and patterns for the banners and circle frame.

Finally, I pulled out my blender pens and coloured the frog.  Here he is close up...

All of the layers are flat onto each other.  But the circles are popped up onto dimensionals.  Here is a final look at my card...

Be sure to join us this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge - I can't wait to see what you create!
