Happy New Year - Blog Hop

Happy New Year!  Welcome 2018!

I am so excited to see what this year will bring.  Today, the first of the month, always brings a new blog hop with my Blogging Friends - I love the first of the month because I LOVE seeing what they create!  And, to help ring in the new year, we have a new look for our blog hop!  What do you think?

The theme this month is "Baby, It'scold Outside".  There couldn't be a better theme for us here in Ontario, Canada.  We have been having extreme cold weather alerts for most of the last week.  Like, I'm talking -38 celcius with the wind chill.  It has been a great time to get crafty inside, but who really needs a reason.

Here is a picture of what it looks like outside my front door..

So, the real reason you stopped by..here are the projects I made for the blog hop with this month's theme in mind.

I created a card using the very popular Eclipse Technique as well as a matching gift bag with my Gift Bag Punch Board.  I love how cute they turned out to be!
My card base is Night of Navy and the layter on top is a patterned DSP from the Coffee Break DSP pack from the Annual Catalogue.   I used the snowflakes from the Snowflake Sentiments stampset to stamp directly onto the patterned DSP usin the Night of Navy and Marina MIst Inks.  I also die cut some Whisper White Snowflakes from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits and added them to the front along with some glitter rhinestones for the center of the snowflakes.
The gift bag was created using the same stamping and die cut snowflakes.  I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the bag.  I then used snowflake border die to create a bag topper.  I also created a little tag another great die from the Swirly Snowflake thinlits

I really love this bundle!  It was the first thing in the Holiday Catalogue that I knew I had to have!  I am so happy the products are being continued, but if you are a bargain shopper, you will want to get the bundle before January 3rd, the bundle price is not being carried over, just the products individually.  You can order the bundle to save 10% at my online store here.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to hear from you, go ahead and leave a comment.

Be sure to hop on through all of the blogs to see the great projects they created to share through the list at the bottom of the post or use the 'next' or 'previous' buttons below.

Kylie's International Blog Highlight

Well hello there,
So happy you stopped by today!  It is a very special day.  I decided to join other Stampin'UP! demonstrators to participate in Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin'UP! Blog Highlights.
What is a blog highlight you ask?  This is where Stampin'UP Demonstrators showcase projects and YOU get to vote on your favourites. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that here - December Highlights - VOTE FOR ME

Our theme for this highlight is Flowers.

Today I have a card to share with you that I was commissioned to create.  A co-worker asked if I would create a very special wedding card.  The wedding colours are cream and blue.

I started with Very Vanilla Cardbase and added a layer of Marina Mist.  I then used the Detailed Floral Thinlits to add a second layer over the Marina Mist.  Before I attached the Detailed Floral layer, I went over it with my Wink of Stella.  It looked so pretty in real life with all of the glitter.

I added the greeting onto the largest Stitched Oval from the thinlits collection. And finally, I wrapped the entire card from with some Very Vanilla Ribbon and topped it off with a bow.
I just loved how it turned out and was told the card was a hit with the bride and groom.

I hope you enjoyed my card and decide to come back and visit.  If you live in Canada you can shop with me, I would love to be  your demonstrator!

Thanks for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie's blog - HERE to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.

Christmas Tag Exchange

Hey there,

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a great post for you today- it is my creation for a gift tag exchange I try to participate in every year.  It is SO much fun.

So, instead of having a cookie exchange, which is so yummy, one of my favourite crafty friends has a Christmas Gift Tag Exchange.  She limits it to 12 ladies, each lady makes 12 of the SAME tags and then you exchange tags.  You end up with 12 different and beautiful gift tags.  It is so much fun to see what everyone comes up with!

I used the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits to decorate my tag.

It's a little hard to see it, but I sponged some white craft ink onto the branches of the tree and added some Wink of Stella - so pretty in real life.

Here is the table full-o-tags!

Awesome right!  As you can see there are few other really fun treats for us who participated - my friend has many talents beyond papercrafting.
Here is a final shot of all the tags I created - I made a few extra to keep for the presents I will be wrapping.

 Happy stampin'
