Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Hey there stampin' friends!

So glad you could join me today!  I have the CUTEST bundle to showcase for our Blogging Friends Holiday Catalogue kickoff!

MERRY MOOSE BUNDLE

The Merry Moose Bundle!!  If you have been scouting out new holiday decorations, you would have surely seen the moose trend.  It's also a true sign of being Canadian, eh?  lol, I couldn't resist.

Here is my card...

I often have a hard time with leaving a lot of white space, but this plaid moose made it pretty easy - he totally steals the show!

I framed him with a scalloped square and popped up on dimensionals.  The greeting is from the bundle too.  The colours I have used are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Whipser White.  The beautiful plaid DSP is called Wrapped in Plaid.

Be sure to hop on through all of the stops and get your Christmas card ideas.

Happy Stampin'

Tammy

Addicted to Stamps and More has some awesome photo inspiration!  I just love all of those little pumpkin faces.

Here is a card I made to celebrate Halloween.

I used my true, blue favourite, Every Day Jar Framelist and Jar of Haunts stampset.  They are both retired Stampin'UP! products, but love them way too much to let them go.

Love these Halloween faces.

Merry Christmoose with Freshly Made Sketches

Welcome back,

So glad you could join me!  I have a super cute Christmoose, ekem, Christmas card to share with you today.  Yes, it is time for Christmas cards.  lol

I followed along with the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  If you know me, you know I love a good sketch challenge.  Here is theirs..

And here is the card I made.....

I really LOVE how it turned out!  Buffalo Check and a moose - this combination is so Canadian and on trend right now.

The cardbase is Early Espresso, I stamped Early Espresso using the Buffalo Check onto Cherry Cobbler and added a Crumb Cake strip on the left side.

I punched a 2 1/4 inch circle in Whisper White and stamped the larger of the tress in Garden Green and the smaller of trees in Old Olive.  I added some Pool Party snow and the greeting in Early Espresso.

My Merry Moose was stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake.  I then punched him out using the coordinating punch.  Finally, I added a double Linen Thread bow.

MERRY MOOSE BUNDLE
If you live in Canada, you will want the bundle!

Be sure to stop on over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Cupcakes for the Paper Players

Hey there,

Happy end of pumpkin season to everyone!  Are you ready for Halloween, I think the Gill house is.  Decorations, check, visit to the pumpkin patch, check, costumes ready, check, pumpkins carved, check, candy bought, check!  It is a busy, but fun time for sure.

With all that fun ready to be had, I thought I would join in with The Paper Players to play along with their sketch challenge this week!  I LOVE sketch challenges.  They really help those creative blocks that can sometimes happen.  Here is their sketch.

I thought I would pull out an old favourite of mine, perfect for any kind of celebration card, Cupcakes!  It was a Sale-a-bration stampset that was a huge sucess last year and what made it even better, they came out with coordinating framelits!!!  LOVE a cake stand that will match a big delicious cupcake.

I haven't used a lot of purples lately, and thought I would be all in for a purple card.  I was asked to create a female birthday card and thought cupcakes and purple would fit the bill.

I used Highland Heather and Georgous Grape. I added some white to and grey to break it all up and give a nice contrast.  I love how it all came together and really quick thanks to this sketch challenge.

Be sure to stop on over to The Paper Players to see all of the wonderful creations made with this sketch!

Happy Stampin'

Ride with Me to Seize the Birthday!

HI there!

Thank you for joining me on this beautiful fall day!  Today is another fabulous day with lots of beautiful colours in the trees.  This is a busy week for me as I am preparing for a very large Christmas card class.  Stay tuned for some pictures later this week!

But first, let's pay along with the birthday challenge over at Seize the Birthday!  It's a kids Birthday theme.  Super fun!

I have been loving the Ride with Me Bundle, most particularly, the stampset.  I just LOVE the old style pick-up truck and all of the little accessories that you can'put' inside the back.

On this birthday card, I used the balloons - perfect for a kids birthday.  I used bright colours to colour them in.

Although I love using my blends to colour, I decided to use them just to highlight some accents on the truck.  I stamped the truck in Daffodil Delight onto Daffodil Delight cardstock, then I used my blends to accent in a few places. Have you tried using bends on coloured cardstock?  It is a little different in that the colour really soaks in, but I love the subtle effect.

Be sure to stop on over to Seize the Birthday to see all of the wonderful creations using this theme!

Snowman Season - Are you ready?

Hey there my stampin' friends,

I hope you are enjoying some wonderful fall weather where you are!  It has been been beautiful in southern Ontario.  The leaves are spectacular right now.  I just LOVE this time of year.

Even with this beautiful fall weather, I am getting ready for Christmas.  I have started my Christmas card classes and my shopping lists.

The folks over at Case This Sketch!  Have a great sketch to play along with!

I love it!  I wanted to use this super cute Snowman Season Bundle as soon as I saw it in the catalogue.  The whole suite is wonderful!!!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the specialty designer series paper.  It has glitter build right in.

The paper is so beautiful, I wanted it to be one of the focal points of my card.  I also love this little snowman who is throwing snow, I wanted to add his hat in there too, like he is throwing that up in the air.

I framed him with a scalloped circle and coloured him on the edges with the light Pool Party Stampin' Blend  SO cute!

I hope you will pop on over to Cas(e) this Sketch to see all of the great projects people have shared.

Ride with Me to a Colour Challenge!

Hey there!  So glad you could stop buy today!

I am going to share a card I made with one of my all time favourite bundles that I used to join the challenge fun over at SUO Challenges.

Its a colouring challenge!  Whop Whop!  The Ride with me Bundle is perfect for a colouring challenge.

RIDE WITH ME BUNDLE

Whether you need a birthday card, a Thanksgiving card or a Christmas card, this stampset and bundle have you covered.

The past weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada and so of course, I used the cute little pumpkins with a Balmy Blue pickup truck for a Thanksgiving card for my sister-in-law - she was hosting the big turkey dinner this year.  I just love how it turned out!  (She really liked it too. )  :)

My first choice in colouring tools are always my Stampin' Blends.  They make me look like a true artist.  You just can't go wrong.  For this card, I used Balmy Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Old Olive (on the tiny leaves).  I framed the harvest pickup truck by cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

My card layers are Balmy Blue Card base, a layer of Whisper White and then a layer of Balmy Blue DSP.  The Pickup Truck is on Whisper White and the frame around it is Pumpkin Pie.

From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Image may contain: text

Hey there my stampin' friends,

Glad you could stop by today.  It is time for another Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

The theme is super fun and special, just in time to make some Halloween treats, Things That Go Bump in the Night!

This month I chose to use my extra Paper Pumpkin extra's to create the card for Things That Go Bump in the Night.  Have you seen this month's Paper Pumpkin?  It is a 3D treat holder that is food safe and perfect for Halloween.

09.19_PP_PREVIOUS_KITS
Super cute, right?  And you always get extra pieces.  Here is the card I created with those extra bits.

I just love those cute little skeletons, the bone spiderweb and the skeleton stamp.

Below are the treat boxes I created using my Paper Pumpkin kit.  If you are a subscriber, you can order a refill kit.

I will be taking my treat holders to a craft sale tomorow.

Happy Stampin'
