Ladybug with The Paper Players

Happy Wednesday,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  This weekend was a holiday weekend with family day celebrations on Monday....  and, it was also my birthday weekend.  We just won't talk about how old I am.  lol

We had so much fun playing outside.  The weather was cold but not too cold so we played a little road hockey and a pond hockey with my siblings and nieces and nephews. Even my dad joined the fun.  My boys just loved it!

But let's share why you are really here.  The card.  I am so happy to play along with The Paper Players this week - they have a fun challenge of woodland critters.  I think ladybugs count.  What do you think?

Here is my card.  I just love these little ladybugs in the free stampset offered as a host set during Sale-a-bration!  And now, there are coordination dies that just enhance the set even more.

I used my Stampin' Blends to colour the images.  The colours are Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Petal Pink.  I stamped the images in Momento Ink.

I used my little paper-snips to create the tiny banner by cutting up the center of the card stock and then angling my scissors from each corner up to the top of the center cut.  Viola, a banner of any size.

Be sure to stop on over to The Paper Players  and see all of the wonderful cards created with woodland critters.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello there,

Happy Friday and Valentine's day to each of you.  I hope you are enjoying the day so far.  Here, in southern Ontario Canada, it is sunny BUT -30 degrees!  YIKES!  Way too cold for this valentine.  My day is off to wonderful start, thank you to my wonderful husband, this super thoughtful present waiting for me this morning.  💘

I have a very special card to share with you today, I met a lovely lady at the last craft sale I was at and she commissioned me to create a 100th birthday card for her dear friend and the birthday is today - Valentine's day!  How amazing is that!  Here is the card I created for her...

I started with my colours of pinks (Powder Pink and Melon Mambo) and Real Red.  My customer knew she wanted hearts - of course - and so pulled out my Meant to Be stampset!

I used the retired Large Number Dies, but have kept them in my stash for just such an occasion.  Perfect to celebrate these wonderful milestones!  I popped it all up on dimensionals so that you can really see the Real Red behind the patterned paper I made.

I used the Well Said stampset for the 'Happy' - another great one to have in your stash.

My customer love the card I created for her - so so sweet.

Happy stampin'

Happy Birthday at Grandma's House

Hey there,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I really did - it was my birthday weekend with my girlfriends!  We ate really great food, had some girl time and stamped.  LOVE my besties so much.

One of the stamps we played with is Grandma's House.  A real sleeper from the annual catalgoue.  Here it is..

GRANDMA'S HOUSE CLING STAMP SET

Oh my gosh!  The greetings and sentiments are to die for and the sweet images are SO fun to colour.

I decided to join the fun over at Seize the Birthday and share my card I created with this little gem.

What do you think?  I love the bright colours and the spring feeling I get when I look at this card.  We really need it here in Ontario, Saturday was -27 degrees!  It was a good day to stamp.  I started with a Highland Heather cardbase and gingham dsp and chose my other colours that look like spring.  Real Red, Daffodil Delights and Old Olive.

For the 'grass' I used the edgelit from the Stitched be Mine dies.  I love this little finished edge that it creates.

Thank you for joining me today.  Happy stampin'

Love the Paper Players!

Hello everyone,

My second post for today!  So happy you are here to join me for the LOVE cards to play along with the Paper Players.

I hosted my monthly card class early so we can take advantage of Stampin'UP!'s fabulous new love products in the new mini catalogue.

Don't you just love when there are so many products that work together so well that your projects just come together so easily!  That is true for the Heartfelt Bundle.  You get 2 large punches - one scalloped heart and one flat edged heart.

I really think the DSP (Designer Series Paper) steals the show!  This patter is red foil.  Drool.  And these hearts are cut directly from the DSP!  It matches perfectly to the punch.  Voila, you have the perfect heart.

On this heart I added a one of the little stamps to fill some of that white space.  The greet is also from the stampset.  I cut it out with the 1 1/2" circle punch.

The second card is the same layout, just different hearts and patterns.  This heart is also a pattern in the DSP stack.  I think this one is my favourtie.  I cut it out with the staight edged heart and then added an red scalloped heart behind the patterned one.

My card class attendees were not disappointed with their valentines cards this year.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Hello happy stampers!

It is time for this months Blogging Friends Blog hop.  This month we are sharing projects created with Sale-a-bration items.  Do you have your favourites yet?

Here is a card made with one of mine.  The Happy Birthday to You stampset.  Here is my card.

I just love how it turned out!  This stampset has a beautiful cake image that can be used for weddings or birthdays and has three greetings! I chose to make it a birthday card and use this big beautiful Happy Birthday greeting.

I stamped the card image in Momento Ink and brought out my stampin' Blends and got to work giving some colour to our image.

I then stamped the cake a second time on a scrap piece of Whisper White and coloured the flowers only.

My secret weapon on this card is one of the brand new Coordination Release dies that matches this stampset perfectly!  Have you seen them?!

You can cut the whole cake or just the flowers AND it has this adorable cake stand as well as two different types of foliage.  Perfect!

So, I cut out just the flowers and popped them up on Dimensionals.  I also, added a gold cake stand and some vellum and Old Olive foliage.

Be sure to check out all of the coordination products, after all that's what Stampin'UP! does best.  They are purchasable instead of earned.

Make sure you hop on through to see all of the wonderful projects made with the Sale-a-bration products you can earn for free!

Happy Stampin'
