Fall Card with The Friday Mahsup - # FM177

Hello there my Stampin' friends,

Thanks for stopping by!  The Friday Mashup has a Fall challenge this week!  I am SO excited!  I just love this time of year - yes it's busy, I mean really busy, but I love the routine and I love the feeling in the air that holidays are just around the corner and most of all I LOVE the weather!  So many beautiful things to see and the leaves - OH I just love the leaves and all of their colour.

So....I felt up to the challenge of a fall 'inkspired' card and of course I chose to put some leaves on it! lol

I started with an Early Espresso card base, then a layer Pear Pizzaz.  I used a narrow strip of some retired fall DSP and I used my Autumn Accents Bigz Die to make the leaves.  I added some sponging using Early Espresso to give them some definition.  My greeting is the Label of Love stampset with the coordinating punch - Artisan Label.  I used my punch to cut an extra label in Early Espresso and cut it in half to create a 'border' of sorts.  Last but not least, I added a twine bow!

Here is my card.....

So hop on over to The Friday Mashup to see what everyone has create!

Wedding Card with the Paper Players Challenge 198!

Hello, thanks for stopping by!

Last week I had another wonderful opportunity to demonstrate some Stampin'UP! products on the Roger's TV show, Daytime!  The theme for the show was a wedding theme - I was SO excited to use some of our products to create some wonderful wedding items.  I will have more pictures from that show at a later date, so stay tuned!

As I looked around the internet, I saw that The Paper Players were having a wedding theme challenge - my lucky day!

I had made two cards for the show, but I liked one better than the other, and so I thought I would enter my favourite of the two into the challenge!

Here is a picture of the card that I took at the station - the lighting was amazing and so it turned out much better than the ones I took at home - lesson to be learned there!

I started out with Whisper White cardstock for my base and my top layer that I embossed with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder - I just love this embossing folder - perfect for a wedding!  I added a layer of the Glimmer Cardstock beneath the embossed cardstock.  I wrapped some of the organza ribbon around two of the layers and created a nice big bow!  Such pretty ribbon and great to work with.

I used the stampset Label Love and matching Artisan Punch for my greeting.  I stamped in Metallic Silver. I punched an extra Artisan Label out of the glimmer paper, cut it in half to create a glimmer edge around the top an bottom - gives the sentiment a little bit more pizzazz!

Here is a close up.

I hope this inspires you!

Retro Brithday Card

Hello my Stampin' friends,

I have a quick post for you today with a simple and quick birthday card.  This card  would be perfect for a male or female card for the young and the not so young alike.

I took my colour cue from the Retro Fresh Designer Series paper.  I used a Very Vanilla card base and layered it up with Baked Brown Sugar and the Retro Fresh paper.  I added some of that great ruffled stretch ribbon.  I used the matching punch and stamp set Label of Love (save 15% when you buy them both together).  I also punched an extra Artisan Label in baked brown sugar and cut it in half to make a 'fooler' border!  Just what was needed to emphasize the sentiment!

I added two banners one in Tango Tangerine and one in Bermuda Bay.

Happy Stampin,

Tammy

Happy Birthday with FMS 122

Hello there my Stampin' friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Mine was full of Hockey!  There were 6 games played and 2 practices for my house - whew!  Well, that is playoff hockey for ya!

Well, how about a card!  I decided to participate in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  I just love the sketches that they have over there!  If  you haven't stopped by to see all the wonderful creativity - you should!  You can find them here.

So, I took this opportunity to use my NEW scalloped tag punch (squeal)!  I am going to LOVE having this one in my collection - think valentines, Christmas, gift bags... I could just go on and on!

I also used some coordination's cardstock and my newest embossing folder.  Needless to say, I had a lot of fun playing with some new toys.

Here is my card, let me know what you think!

Here is a close up of the tag.  I used several punches to have my greeting pop out a bit.
