Happy New Year - Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Happy New Year!  Welcome 2018!

I am so excited to see what this year will bring.  Today, the first of the month, always brings a new blog hop with my Blogging Friends - I love the first of the month because I LOVE seeing what they create!  And, to help ring in the new year, we have a new look for our blog hop!  What do you think?

The theme this month is "Baby, It'scold Outside".  There couldn't be a better theme for us here in Ontario, Canada.  We have been having extreme cold weather alerts for most of the last week.  Like, I'm talking -38 celcius with the wind chill.  It has been a great time to get crafty inside, but who really needs a reason.

Here is a picture of what it looks like outside my front door..

So, the real reason you stopped by..here are the projects I made for the blog hop with this month's theme in mind.

I created a card using the very popular Eclipse Technique as well as a matching gift bag with my Gift Bag Punch Board.  I love how cute they turned out to be!
My card base is Night of Navy and the layter on top is a patterned DSP from the Coffee Break DSP pack from the Annual Catalogue.   I used the snowflakes from the Snowflake Sentiments stampset to stamp directly onto the patterned DSP usin the Night of Navy and Marina MIst Inks.  I also die cut some Whisper White Snowflakes from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits and added them to the front along with some glitter rhinestones for the center of the snowflakes.
The gift bag was created using the same stamping and die cut snowflakes.  I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the bag.  I then used snowflake border die to create a bag topper.  I also created a little tag another great die from the Swirly Snowflake thinlits

I really love this bundle!  It was the first thing in the Holiday Catalogue that I knew I had to have!  I am so happy the products are being continued, but if you are a bargain shopper, you will want to get the bundle before January 3rd, the bundle price is not being carried over, just the products individually.  You can order the bundle to save 10% at my online store here.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to hear from you, go ahead and leave a comment.

Be sure to hop on through all of the blogs to see the great projects they created to share through the list at the bottom of the post or use the 'next' or 'previous' buttons below.

Need a Custome Size Gift Bag?

Hi there!

Whew - I made it through last week...card classes, end of school year, 7 year old birthday party - oh my!  So very glad it's the weekend!

Have you seen the newest punch board from Stampin'up! ?  It is a gift bag punch board - so you can create your own gift bags!  I just love this thing!

I had a chance to play with mine a lot for my latest visit to the TV show Daytime.  You can see my post about the projects I made here.  For the show, I made the 3 standard sized gift bags that you can make with the board - 2 3/4 ", 3 1/4" and 3 3/4" wide.

I wanted to create custom sized gift bags for my two youngest son's teachers to hold their thank you gifts which were 5 1/2" wide.  It took a little adjusting, but it worked!

Here are the bags....

I used some Very Vanilla cardstock for the bag itself and then I dressed up the front with some DSP and matching cardstock.  I also used up the last of my Chevron Ribbon.

My middle son had a male teacher this year, so I used some of the great Typeset DSP from the new Annual Catalogue and then I framed it with some Basic Black Cardstock.  I added a few banners using my new Triple Banner Punch and finally a bow, yep even for a male teacher - I just couldn't resist!

For my youngest son's teacher, I used a bit more feminine colours.  I found some retired DSP in my stash that matched the ribbon I had as well as the card I made for her.  I framed the DSP with some Sahara Sand Cardstock which was also a colour from her card.  And again, I made some banner's and finished it off with a bow.

Here is Stampin'UP!'s video on how to use the Gift Bag Punch Board.

If you have any questions please leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

Happy Father's Day with Roger's Daytime TV!

Hello there,

Happy Father's Day!  I hope you are enjoying today and celebrating of the wonderful dad's in your life.

Today, I wanted to show you pictures from my recent Roger's Daytime TV show celebrating Father's Day.

I had SO much fun with Will Nash (host) and his dad and Melanie Case (host) and the other wonderful guests on the show.  We had a fabulous BBQ with ribs and lots of grilled veggies, there was a massage therapist and a golf pro and me with Stampin'UP!  What a great pre-father's day celebration they had - food, fun and a home made card!

Here are the pictures of the projects that I made as well as the display I had for the show!

Here is the scrapbook page I made using the Hello You Thinlits and Star Framelits

Three different sized gift bags using the new Gift Bag Punch Board.  We actually made one live of air.

Finally, some treat bags of course!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Father's Day

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow when I have some VERY exciting news to share with you!
