Deck the Halls!

Hi there!

Glad you stopped by!  This week I held another one of my Christmas card classes - I had 23 ladies join me!  It was SO much fun!

I start my Christmas card classes in August - yep, August!  I have a one Christmas card class each month and we make 4 cards at each class...the idea is everyone has 20 handmade cards after December's class to send with their Christmas wishes to their friends and family.  I have to say - it is a huge hit!

So what does it look like when you are cutting 100 cards?  I love to see the cardstock and paper stacked up after it is all cut........

Here is the card we made...

I used the new stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Christmas Messages.  I just LOVE this set!  It has really great messages for the inside of your card as well as fab greetings for the front as well!  Awesome choice for your Christmas cards this year!  This 'deck the halls' worked perfectly with the second smallest framelit from the labels collection.

So here are the supplies I used:

Very Vanilla Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Be of Good Cheer DSP (retired)
Cherry Cobbler Ribbon
Big Shot
Labels Collection Framelits
Rhinestones

Thank you for taking a look!

By the Tide!

Hi there!
So glad you stopped by!  I have another great summer card to show you today, although the weather here is changing fast - leaves are starting to change colour and I even had frost on my car windows the other morning!  brrr!
Well off to warmer thoughts.....
I have used the very versatile stamp set By the Tide!  It is in this year's annual catalogue, page 77 to be exact!  It is an awesome choice for a masculine or feminine card or even a summer scrapbook page!
I also wanted to try the layered technique I have been seeing.  I have to tell you that when I first saw this technique, I thought that it would be much too complicated for me!  Boy was I wrong!  It is such a snazzy card AND easy to make too!
Here it is.....

Fun right!

The supplies I used are:

By the Tide Stamp set
Basic Grey Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Pool Party Ink
Calypso Coral Ink
Basic Grey Ink

Thoughts & Prayers - PPA 170!

Hi there!

I was warned this might happen.......I have got the challenge bug!

Last week I participated in my first challenge and this week, I am participating in two!  Yohoo!

I thought I would try my hand at a colour challenge - Pals Paper Arts, have a terrific one!  Beautiful fall colours......Midnight Muse, Crushed Curry and Early Expresso!  Yummie indeed!  Matching these colours all in one card took me out of my comfort zone a little bit, but boy am I happy the Pals did, after all, isn't that what a challenge is all about!

So about my card, one of my regular card class friends (Hi Marsha!) asked if we could make a sympathy card and I thought these colours would be a good fit.  It is always good to have some sympathy cards on hand in your stash.

The Thoughts & Prayers stamp set was up for the challenge and it is such a great one to have in your collection.  I just love the verses for inside, because I never quite know what to say at a time like that.  This set is great for a get well card too.

And so, here is my card.........

The supplies I used are....

Seasonal Sayings

Hi there!

I have a very happy card to share with you today!  I just LOVE the way this one turned out - don't you just love it when the ideas in your head play out on paper exactly as you pictured them?  Well, that is exactly what happed with this card!

I love the bright colors of this card.  I took my color cue from the Designer Series Paper, that made choosing the colors easy!  I used my markers to color the stamp instead of an ink pad.  It is an easy way to get different colors on the letters and create more interest in your greeting.  But let's not forget the chevron embossing on the Marina Mist Cardstock, my favorite part of this card!  Yummo!

And the card is.....

The Seasonal Seasons stamp set is PERFECT for this time of year!  You get a stamp for all of the upcoming holidays - Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, Valentines and the one featured here, and it can be used for anything!  It can be found on page 32 of the annual catalogue.

The supplies I used are....

Early Espresso card stock and marker
Very Vanilla card stock
Cherry Cobbler card stock and marker
Old Olive card stock and marker
Marina Mist card stock and marker
Designer Series Paper
Seasonal Sayings
Chevron Embossing folder
1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Early Espresso
Neutrals button

Sympathy Card

Hi there Stampin' friends,

I have a card to share with you today that I hate to have to give.  It's a sympathy card.  I have actually needed 2 of these in the last week!  The best part about giving these cards, is knowing that it will put a little bit of brightness in the midst of a very difficult time.

I don't like needing them, but when I do, I am always happy when I have one in my stash ready to go!

Here is my card.....

Remember to stamp the inside of your card and your envelope too!
