Hey there stampers,
Happy new year!  Well new Stampin'UP! year...it's new catalogue day and to celebrate, my blogging friends blog hop is featuring new items from the new catalogue!
I can't wait to see what everyone has created.

I chose to use a stampset I got for FREE at the Onstage event in April.  I am just so happy that I have this set in my collection.

Here is my card...

Isn't this the cutest little pig?  This stampset is called This Little Piggy and is available starting today!

I coloured her using my aquapainter and my inkpads.  I cut the image out using favourite stitched framelits and then framed it with another circle framelit.

Be sure to check out my on-line store to see all of the awesome items in the new catalogue!

Now be sure to stop by and see all of the wonderful creations created by my blogging friends.

Stampin Celebration Challenge time!

Hey there stampers,

Hope you are having a great Monday!  We have an awesome sketch for you today at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  Are you a subscriber to our e-mail's?  You SHOULD!  It's a great way to get the reminder every two weeks for our latest challenge.  You can do that on the right side of the screen under subscribe!

We have a fantastic sketch for you this week.

Isn't it great?  I loved the starting point for creating my latest card.

I decided that I would use a different shape than the diamond shape.  And I have had some inspiration from our latest heat wave here in Ontario, Canada.  So, I chose to make some summertime fruit on the front my card.  Here it is...

Can you see the resemblance?  One big shape in the center, three layers and my greeting below and to the left of my shape.  I was really in the mood for a fresh, clean and fun summertime card.

I used my Circle thinlits to create the watermelon, my tiny heart punch for the seeds and I used the brand new Thoughtful Banners and coordinating Duet Banner Punch - awesome choice for your collection because it can be used for SO many occasions!  :)

I embossed the Whisper Whte paper using the Large Poka Dot Embossing Folder.  And finally I tied a bow using some White Linen Thread.

Hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure to play along with us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge - we are looking for some guest designers and you could be chosen!

Sieze the Birthday!

Hello there,

I decided to join the fun over at Sieze the Birthday where their theme this week is 'The Great Divide'!  How fun is that? And who can't use more birthday cards in their stash, right?

So, here is the card that I came up with....

I am SO looking forward to spring.  Technically it IS spring here, but we are expecting another big snow storm this week!  UGH!

Anyway, if I create cards with flowers, maybe they will come.  :)

I used one of my favourite stampsets, Garden in Bloom.  It is just so pretty with the water coloured look of the stamps and you can create them in ANY colour and any combination!  My greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, another favourite of mine.

The patterned paper is from the DSP stack Pretty Petals and the colours are Very Vanillia, Calypsol Coral and Pear Pizzaz, all taken from the DSP.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to stop by again tomorrow, where I will have all of the projects I made for my latest appearance on Roger's TV.

Toadally Awesome Stampin' Celebration Challenge

So glad you stopped by today!  We have a Toadally Awesome challenge for you this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  :)

Some fabulous picture inspiration.....wait until you see this!
What part of these pictures did you notice first?  For me, it was the fabulous colours!  Then that cute little frog and then the patterns and finally the banners!  Oh my gosh - this is perfect inspiration for a mom of three boys!

So, can you guess what stampset I used for this card?  Yep - You're Sublime!  It has the perfect little frog for this project.

Here is my card...

What do you think? I just love how this turned out!

I started with this super cute frog from the stampset You're Sublime.  I knew I wanted him inside of a circle and then framed with another, slightly larger circle.  I also knew that I wanted some banners on my card and that they would be in the top corner after seeing how large the circles would be.  Then, I turned my attention to the colours and layers of the card base.  Once I picked the layers for the cardbase, I chose the colours and patterns for the banners and circle frame.

Finally, I pulled out my blender pens and coloured the frog.  Here he is close up...

All of the layers are flat onto each other.  But the circles are popped up onto dimensionals.  Here is a final look at my card...

Be sure to join us this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge - I can't wait to see what you create!

Golden Sleigh Ride with Stampin Celebration Challenge!

Hey there

I have my favourite Christmas card of the year to show today and I used my Stampin' Celebration Challenge to create it!

Every year, my card class ladies look for me to make a WOW Christmas card, one to out-do the year before's. NO pressure!  lol  And I have it to show you today.

Have a look at our fabulous golden inspiration......

....a whole bunch of golden, Christmasy goodness!  I was SO excited to see the gold, the deer images, the white circle buttons and the bow!  I HAD to try to incorporate them all!

Here is my card....

So, were you like me and the first time you saw these edglits / stampset combo in the Holiday catalogue, you just HAD to have them?  Yep, I knew they were going to be a hit!  I LOVE layering them up and making a beautiful Christmas scene.  You can make the scenes long or short, use one, two or all three of them....endless choices.

I wanted to create a Christmas ornament using 3 different green colours of cardstock and using the gold foil paper to hightlight the horse drawn sleigh - what I used for the deer images in the inspiration photos.

I added a rimmed pearl to create the top of the ornament, thinking the white buttons here, and then added a cute little golden bow!

Lastly, I placed a golden moon in the background using the coordinating stampset, Jingle All the Way.  The greeting is also from that stampset, I love the way it curves.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure to join us over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  We just LOVE to see all that you create.

Stampin Celebration Challenge!

Well, it's Stampin' Celebration Challenge time again (I just LOVE when I get to tell you that!)  .....and we have a sketch for you this week.
I have to bit honest here and say that I struggled with this one a bit - but that's exactly what challenges are for, right?

So, I checked in with my designer sisters to see how they were interpreting the sketch.  Have you seen them?  They are great.  And once I got started my card just came together quickly!

Well, here is what I designed with this challenge in mind....

I knew I wanted to make another Christmas card and I love Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler together - they are my favourite red and green to use at Christmas time.  The patterned paper in the DSP stack...Merry Moments was a perfect fit.

I wanted to add a little sparkle to the greeting, so I added some stars in silver foil.  I made them using the Confetti Star Punch.

When I punched them out, I got lots of little stars.  I didn't want them to go to waste, so, I thought I would add them too.

Please make sure you join us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  We LOVE seeing all of great cards you create.

Stampin' Celebration Challenge

Happy Monday!

Did you survive Halloween?  My guys had a great time with their trick or treating.  Lots of candy and lots of sugary energy in this house!

I am very happy to say it's time for another Stampin' Celebration Challenge and this week we have some picture inspiration for you!  Are you a fan of yellow, grey and white?  If so, this is your week!  These pictures are so much fun!

Polka dots, stripes, flowers, birds and scalloped edges.  So many great themes to focus on, I had a hard time choosing.  So I decided to make two cards - my first card is my favourite, but both were created using the inspiration pictures.

So I decided to try the Joyful Season stamp for a card other than Christmas.  I thought the cardinal could maybe turned into a cockatial if I stamped him in yellow - well, OK I guess he can be a yellow cardinal, but I think he is pretty cute anyway.  I popped him up with some layered circles using my Circle Framelits and dimensionals.

Did you notice the little diamond pattern in the birds in inspiration picture?  I had to really zoom in - well that's what brought me to my pattern behind the our little yellow friend.  My greeting is from the stampset Remembering Your Birthday.  I really like the font and the size.

For my second card, I used some oldies but goodies!  I started with a Smokey Slate card base again, but added a layer of Daffodil Delight, then a layer of grey and white striped DSP.

I put a strip of Daffodil Delight edged with my Scallop Punch.  I created some flowers out of yellow and white polka dot DSP using my Pansy and Blossom Punches then layered them on top of each other and then added a bow.  I used my Bird Builder Punch to create a grey and white little bird and placed him right on top of the bow.  I LOVED how that looked in the inspiration picture

Last but not least, I added some grey leaves to my flowers.  I purposefully left the card without a greeting - because I thought it can be used for anything.

I sure hope you join us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Remember, inky fingers are the happiest fingers.

Stampin Clelebration Sketch SC107

Hello and welcome!

I am SO excited to have been chosen to be a designer for the Design team at Stampin' Celebration Challenge blog!  What an honour!

Our challenge this week is a sketch - I just love sketch challenges.  They always help me to expand my card designs.  Here is the sketch that we were working with....
...and here is my card....

If you are just getting to know me and my blog, I have three wonderful boys and all three have birthdays in the second half of June!  So, I wanted to use this sketch to make a great card for my youngest who is turning 7 on the 25th.

I chose the stampset Sea Street and the classic nautical colours red, white and blue.  I used my circle framelits to create the cut outs for our little sea creatures to pop out from.  The crab and lobster just make me smile.

I used my Bitty Banner Framelits to cut the banner for my greeting as well as the frame for my greeting.  And, the Happy Birthday has come from my brand new Sprinkles of Life stampset.

Be sure to check out all of the great cards over at Stampin' Celebration and join the fun.  We can't wait to see what you create!

A Sassy Thank you!

Good morning my Stampin' friends,

I hope you are having a great weekend so far.  I thought I would share one of the cards we made at my last card class....a Sassy Thank you!

I used two of my favourites stampsets from the Annual Catalogue - Sassy Salutations and Gorgeous Grunge!  They are SO versatile!

The Sassy Salutations are a great size for the front of a card or even a scrapbook page!  And the Gorgeous Grunge is perfect for subtly filling in those blank spaces you may not want!  Used to make mud marks on a page or card, blood spaltters at Halloween time, water marks for a great nautical theme.....the possibilities are endless!

Here is the card I made....

My colour combo is Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  I used my Circles Framelits and my Circle punches to make the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Circles.

The DSP is from the retired fall pack from the most recent Holiday catalogue.  I polished it off with some Whisper White Ribbon and coloured Rhinestones.

Summer Fun with Sea Street!

Hello there!

Thank you for stopping by!  I have a really fun card that I made with my card class ladies this week.  It features the Sea Street Stamp set, and the Maritime Designer Series Paper that is in this year's Annual Catalogue!  I just love the colours in this DSP and they are a perfect fit for the colour challenge over at Stampin' Royalty, although I missed it.  But, you must stop by there to see the great cards that have been created!

I thought I would enter this into the most recent challenge over at SUO Challenges.  Their challenge was a summer theme - this fits perfectly!  If you haven't seen the great inspiration there, you must hop on over there too!  SO much talent!

Here is my card......

I started with a Night of Navy Card Base and then a Real Red layer, then I added the DSP onto that.  I cut each layer 1/4 shorter so that you can really see it.  I wrapped some Navy ribbon around the two top layers.

I stamped that cute little octopus in Night of Navy and cut him out using the 2 1/2" circle punch.  The real red circle was made using the Circle framelits.  I popped them up using dimensionals.  I used some scrap pieces to stamp and frame my greeting, which by the way is from the And Many More stamp set from the new catalogue as well!  I LOVE this set!  It can be used for SO many occasions!

I finished it off with a bow.  This will be perfect for my cousin's little boy who will be turning 2 in a couple of weeks!

I hope you enjoyed my card.
