Thank you International Blog Highlight

 Hello stampers,

Thank you for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I have made using some free items I have earned and that you can earn too!  Starting January 5th, for every $60 you spend you can earn a free item.  Free is good, right!

I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge with this card!  The theme is 'thank you'.  So I have created a thank you card to join the fun.  We can all use more Thank you cards in our stash - there are so many people we can be thanking during the pandemic and a handmade card is a beautiful way to do it.

Here is my card!   Can you spot the free items?

If you guessed the Designer Series Paper and the stampset, you guessed right!  LOL

I love this paper and I have been using it a ton!  It is called Flower and Field Designer Series Paper and it has many pretty colours in the patterns.  This helps create many colour combinations using this as your starting point.

The stampset is called Corner Bouquet.  There are so many ways to use this stampset, today I have coloured it using my Stampin' Write Markers.

If you like my card, I would love to have your vote!  Please stop by Kylie's blog and place your vote.  You can do that by clicking the button below.  ;)  thank you!

Happy Stampin'

Celebrate Sunflowers - Vote for Me!

Hi there,

So happy you could join me today!  Today is Kylie's International Blog Highlights for July and I am shamelessly looking for votes.  LOL

The theme is Thank you.  And there is just so much to be thankful for, so I decided to join the fun!

Here is the card that I created for the theme.

Do you have this bundle yet?  Honestly, it is super great and versatile.  I used only the die cuts, but, there are so many beautiful things you can create with this entire bundle.  The stampset is beautiful!

I used two different yellows: Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry for the flower and two different greens for the leaves: Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  My card base is Early Espresso.

I just love this flower card.  Sunny and happy!  Please vote for me!  You can do that here.

International Blog Highlights

Image may contain: possible text that says 'KYLIE BERTUCCI'S Monthly International Blog HIGHLIGHTS'

Hello everyone,

Happy Monday!  How are you doing?  Did you do any crafting over the weekend?  I completed a few cards and happy to share them with you.

The card I want to share today is an entry for the Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights.  She has this wonderful monthly inspiration challenge that I like to participate in.  The theme this month is Thank you.  There are many things and people to be thankful for right now and I want to share the card I am sending to my team.  I am so very thankful for them.

I focused on the Over the Moon stampset from the annual catalouge.  It is SO cute and has such nice sentiments for a thank you or pick me up.  Here is the stampset.

OVER THE MOON CLING STAMP SET

I used my Stampin' Blends to colour him in.  The colorus I used are Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey, Pool Party and Bronze.

This super cute cow is framed using the Stitched Shapes Dies and then layered using the Layering Ovals Dies.

The greeting is also from the Over the Moon set and stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, the one you are always left with when you make the insides of your cards.  All are popped up on dimensionals.

That tiny little heart, is from my scrap pile.  I have a bunch of left over hearts when I cut several of the Stitched Be Mine Dies at valentines,  I knew those little hearts would come in handy.  :)

Part of the Blog Highlights is to vote for five of your favourites.  To vote for your favourite you can do that HERE.

Thank you for joining me today.

Stay healthy and safe and enjoy some creative outlets.

Summer time Daisy

Hi there stampers,

I have a quick card to share with you today that is a perfect summer time card.  It is a perfect card to submit to the latest challenge over at Inspire.Create.Challenge

The theme is floral!  I just love a nice floral card for the summer time.  I chose to use the Daisy Punch and Daisy Delight Stampset. I pulled some bright and fun DSP to use as my colour cue for this card. Who doesn't love a Navy, White and Yellow combo when you are talking daisies?

I wanted a Thank you card because you always need some of them in your stash.  The sentiments in Daisy Delight have such amazing fonts.

I left a nice big border using the card base to really bring out the yellow in the center of the daisy as well as in the DSP.

Thank you for joining  me today.  Be sure to stop on in at  Inspire.Create.Challenge to see all of the amaizing flower power that was created with this challenge.

Happy stampin'

Vote for Me!

Image may contain: text

 Hello everyone,

I am so excited to be joining the International Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci!  She is an uber famous demonstrator that lives in Australia and she hosts an international blog hop each month where folks from all over the world cast their vote on their top 5 favourites in the hop!  EEK!

The Top Ten winners will take part in an international blog hop on September 4th/5th.

The theme this month is Tescher thank you’s!  One of my favourite things to create are thank yous for teachers.  Whether it is a 3-D item or a special thank you card, I love showing  my children’s teachers how much I appreciate all that they do for our children.

Right now in Ontario, Canada, my kids are on summer break so teacher gifts are off my mind.  But luckily I hadn’t shared one of the cards I made for the teachers this year yet!  So I thought I would share it in Kylie’s blog highlight this month.  Here is my card.

I love the new Animal Outing stampset that is on this years Annual Catalogue!  It is the perfect set to say thank you, to welcome a baby or wish someone a happy birthday!  I also love that I can use my Stampin’ Blends to colour these adorable animals!

I especially love this kangaroo and baby koala bear, perfect for a teacher and perfect for rjoining Kylie’s highlights given she is in Australia!  :)

I had lots of amazing feedback from my boys teachers this year on the gifts they received.  If you would like to see the 3-D items that accompanied this card, you can view them here.  And if you are looking for some further teacher thank you ideas, you can check my search bar at the side of my.blog.

So if you would like to vote for me and or check out all of the participants in the blog hop, simply click the icon below!

Thank you for Sunday Stamps

Hey there,

Happy Monday.  I hope your weekend was wonderful and relaxing.  We had only a few things scheduled this weekend, with three busy boys, that is a relaxing weekend.  lol

I did carve out some time to create a little using the sketch challenge SSC172 over at Sunday Stamps.  I loved this sketch that they have for us.

http://sundaystamps.blogspot.ca/

I found some super cute DSP that gave me the colour inspiration and set the tone the rest of items on my card.  Here it is...

The DSP is perfect to pair up with this little bee from the Dragonfly Dreams Stampset.  I stamped it on Very Vanilla and then cut it out using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

I popped him up on on dimensionals and onto a stitched Shapes Circle.  My greeting is from Thoughtful Banners and stamped on a little scrap of Very Vanilla.  What do you do with all of those tiny 1/2 inch strips left over?  I like to use them for my greetings.

I almost always add a bow to my card, but this time I let this cute little bee, be the star.

Be sure to stop on over to Sunday Stamps to see all of the cards created with this sketch as inspiration.

Grateful for You

Hi there,

so glad you stopped by.  I want to share with you one of my most favourite cards of all time.

I was looking for a bit of inspiration and found a great sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and  Global Design Project had a very fitting theme - Thank you!

I wanted to create a timeless thank you card that could be used during any season.

The colours I used are Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Pool Party and Whisper White.
For the jar, I used the Every Day Jar Framelits.  I used the middle sized jar thinlit and cut a Pool Party and a Velum Cardstock jar.  I layered them on top of each other and placed the glue on the top where the baker's twine was placed so it doesn't show through.  The sentiment is from the Jar of Love Stampset.
These beautiful tulips were created using the hostess set Tranquil Tulips!  This set is a 2 step-stamping set where you layer the different stamps to create the beautiful layered and water coloured effect.  I just LOVE it!

Thanks again for stopping by.  Be sure to visit Hand Stamped Sentiments as well as Global Design Project to see all of the wonderful cards created with these challenges in mind.

Don't forget all of the wonderful specials Stamin'UP! has.

Thankful with Freshly Made Sketches

Hey there,

Happy Monday.  I hope you had a good weekend.  This weekend was fun for me as I was able to participate in one of our award wining local festivities called Small Halls Festival.  My local community hall had a wonderful harvest market on Saturday where I had fun selling my handmade cards.

While there I was asked to create a very special thank you card for one of our local teachers to give to a special friend.  She loved a wine bottle tag that was on my table and asked me to create a card just like it - SO I am going to CASE myself!

BUT, I wanted some help with my layout and Freshly Made Sketches has the perfect layout, so I thought I would play along.

http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.ca/
Here is the card I created.

I love the image from the Happy Scenes Stampset and was happy to use the Stitched Shapes Thinlits to cut it out.  I also used the Layering Circles Thinlits to add a scalloped orange frame around it.

One further request was to add an acorn to the card. I dug deep into my stash and found some retired wood embellishments.

Here are the two side by side.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to stop on over to Freshly Made Sketches to see all of the wonderful creations made with this sketch in mind.

Beach Theme with Colourful Seasons

Hi there my stampin' friends,

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I have a really fun card to share with you!  I wanted to create thank you cards for the swimming instructors that my younger two boys had this summer as well as the Head Life Guard.  My boys just loved their instructors, they had so much fun and learned so much.  SO, a thank you card was definitely in order!

To create these cards, I participated in two challenges this week - Stamp, Ink, Paper has a great beach theme this week and Paper Craft Crew Challenges had an awesome sketch challenge.  I combined them both to create may card.

Here is the card I created....

I just love this little muskoka chair and I think seeing it in red is my favourite.  I framed the muskoka chair with a circle created with my Stitched Shapes Framelits I also used the scalloped thinlit also from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to create some 'waves'.  I think it is so cute.

Here is a picture of my two boys at waiting for their lesson.
Here is everything that is included with the Colourful Seasons Bundle, minus the card of course. :)

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hey gang,

Thanks for joining me - I have some very exciting projects to share with you today. If you are joining me through the Blogging Friends Blog Hop, you have reached Canada and today is a very exciting day for Canadians - it's Canada's birthday.  Not just any birthday, but it's a 150th birthday!!!

There are celebrations happening all over the country, parades, fireworks, bbq's, street hockey of course and some good old family and friend time.

So the cards I created for today's blog hop are all with the birthday celebrations in store for Canadians today.   Fair warning, patriotic post ahead.  :)

Our theme for this month is watercolouring.  I really love this technique, but I have to be honest, I was nervous to give it a try, but once I did - look out! I love how every one is different even if you use the same colours.

I made three cards for the occasion all with some watercolouring.

On my first card, I wanted to do a watercolour flag.  I used my aquapainter and some excess ink in my inkpad lid to do the colouring.  I took a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of watercolour paper and drew my lines then coloured each end.  I also watercoloured another piece that I used to cut our my little maple leafs!  I LOVE these maple leafs in the new Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  I was SO excited to see them in the set, you get 3 different leafs. I couldn't wait to get my hands on them - just for Canada Day in mind - can't you just see some really great fall leaves with them too? Watercoloured in fall colours - perfect for a card or scrapbook page!
My next card is a pretty simple one.  I used another real red cardbase, whisper White layer and added several watercoloured leaves in Real Red and then added my 150 cut using my Large Number Framelits. This card shows all three leaves in the set. Cute huh?
My final card is the first one I thought to make.  I just had to make a Real Red chair using the same set of thinlits.  In Canada (well at least in Ontario) we call these Muskoka Chairs.  Muskoka is our cottage country where there are thousands of lakes with beautiful views.  Visiting Muskoka and enjoying the water is the favourite part of our summers.  I made this card especially for friends who's cottage we are going to next weekend.

Thank you so much for stopping by and indulging in a little Canada Day fun!  Happy 4th of July to all my American friends.

Next up on our hop is Rick - can't wait to see what he has in store for us!

Happy Stampin'

Tammy
