Festive Flurry Scrapbook Page

Hello there my Stampin' Friends!

I have another scrapbook page for you all today!  Yep, still catching up with pages from our Christmas break - this one is a winter theme!

Over the break, my middle son had a hockey game in Collingwood, Ontario.  It is such a pretty place to take in some scenery with the ski hills and the waterfront.  And shopping there is extra special and they go out of their way to decorate for the shoppers.  I just had to take some pictures!

The day was a great winter day with some snowflakes, but it was COLD!  There was an ice sculpture show out in front of the downtown shops.  So while we waited for the game to start, my youngest son and I took in some of the sculptures - beautiful!  It was a wonderful opportunity for a scrapbook page!

It was the perfect time to use the Festive Flurries Bundle with Stamp Set and matching Framelites!  I used some of the great paper that Stampin' UP! has....Silver Foil and Sparkling!  Perfect for those snowflakes!

I also used some of those wonderful charms that were in the Holiday Catalog!  They were such a hit - I hope Stampin'UP! brings them back in the future!  Great for the centre of the largest snowflake.
I hope you like the page.  Here is the list of supplies that I used....

Festive Flurries Stamp Set
Festive Flurries Framelits
Whisper White Cardstock
Marina Mist Cardstock
Glitter Cardstock
Silver Foil Paper
Poka dot Embossing Folder
1/8 Silver Ribbon

Thank you for stopping by!

The Paper Player's Valentine's Challenge #179

Hello my Stampin' Friends!

I have another Valentine's card for you today.  This time I decided to participate in The Paper Player's Challenge #179 and this one is WAY outside of my comfort zone - a one layer card!  What!  I have never attempted that before.  But hey, that's what challenges are all about...aren't they?

I decided on the Chalkboard look.  But I have to confess I did add a little, but only a little, extra detail.  I used some ribbon and 3 tiny little Cherry Cobbler hearts....I just couldn't resist.

I am loving the 'hand drawn' looking hearts from the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set.  I thought that they would look great in 'chalk'!  I also used the Yippee-Skippee Stamp Set for the sentiment.  I thought that worked well in 'Chalk' too.

Here is my card........

Here is a close up of the chalk effect.  I did this using the Whsiper White Craft Ink and a sponge.

I love adding some detail to the inside of my cards.  There is that heart again - LOVE it!

Well, what do you think?  I'd love to hear.

The supplies I used are...........

Basic Black Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Whisper White Craft Ink
Cherry Cobbler Ink
Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set
Yippee-Skippee Stamp Set
Chalk Marker from the Holiday Catalogue
Cherry Cobbler Ribbon
Owl Builder Punch for the hearts

Thank you for stopping by!

Friday Mashup Valentine's Style! FM143

Well, hi there!

Thank you for stopping by!  I have started on my valentine's day cards early this year and what better way to get the old creative juices flowing, other than to participate in a great challenge!

Over at the The Friday Mashup, they had a really great picture to do just that.   Be sure to stop over and see all of the great projects people have created, simply by using the challenge!

The picture inspired me to create a bit of a rustic looking card - I have been waiting for a great opportunity to use my burlap ribbon and this was it - honestly, I don't know what I was waiting for it is amazing!

The challenge asked for hearts and arrows, but I didn't have any arrows, so I settled for just hearts and I just love the 'hand drawn' look of this one from the Hearts a Flutter set - thought it fit the rustic theme perfectly

Here is my card.  Let me know what you think!

The supplies I used are....

Crumb Cake Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Chevron DSP
Cherry Cobbler Ink
Early Espresso Ink
Woodgrain Stamp
Seasonal Sayings Stamp Set
Burlap Ribbon
Hemp Twine
Button
Owl Builder Punch (heart)

Envelope Punch Board and Scrapbook Page

Hello there my Stampin' friends.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I have a scrapbook page to show you today.  There are so many great tools used on this page and I am happy with how it turned out!

I have been working on my Christmas layouts....I know, I know we are all probably sick of doing Christmas projects........but Scrapbook pages just need to be done!  I hope I am not the only one still catching up with that!

I just had to capture this memory for my family.  My youngest son had made some 'Reindeer food' at school to sprinkle on our lawn / snow pile so Santa can find our house on Christmas eve!

My son was SO excited about it and we had to make sure we put it out before he went to bed.  Thank you to one of the best Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Haufe, who does all of these wonderful extras for our kids!

This was the PERFECT opportunity to use the Envelope Punch Board on my scrapbook page.  I wanted to keep the tag that came with the 'food' that had a cute little saying and instructions.  With the Envelope Punch Board you can make an envelope of ANY size!

Here is the list of supplies I used....

Season of Style DSP
Old Olive Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Ornament Keepsakes Framelites
Tasteful Trim Bigz Die
Envelope Punch Board
1/2 Circle Punch
Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine
Cherry Cobbler Ribbon
Rhinestones

Freshly Made Sketches FMS117 Srapbook Page

Happy New Year!

I  hope that your new year has been good to you so far!  For me and my family, we have been busy!  Hockey, hockey and more hockey - 3 boys and my husband all playing makes for crazy schedules!

Next week is back to reality - I'm back to my day job and the kids back to school - I'm trying not to think about that too much!  ;)

So with routine kicking itself into high gear, I will get my blogging back in order as well, thank you for hanging in with me.

I will start by participating in the first Freshly Made Sketches Challenge of 2013, FMS 117, with a scrapbook page!  I just love getting my Christmas pages done before getting back into the swing of things.

Here are my three handsome boys on their annual visit to see Santa!  I always get them matching shirts for their visit and we spend the day doing a proper photo session with a photographer and I take them out for lunch!  I consider this as my Christmas present to myself!  The boys usually give me a hard time being dressed alike, until all the ladies that see them give them lots of attention!  ;)

I put the page in a shadow box to show off that beautiful bow made with the Bigz Bow Maker die.  What do you think?

I used some great products on this page.  Here is the list of supplies I used....

Season of Style Designer Series Paper
Real Read Cardstock
Old Olive Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Real Read Ink
Rhinestones
Joy to the World Stampset
Poka Dots Embossing Folder
Bow Maker Bigz Die
