Valentine's Day Custom Cards

 Hello there!

Today in Ontario Canada, we celebrate Family Day!  Usually, my family visits my parents where we have some pond hockey, chili to eat and usually a birthday cake for me.  :)  This year we will be following the COVID protocols and look forward to next year.

In the mean time, let me share with you the Valentine's Day cards I made for a wonderful couple to give.

The first was a card made to give to their parents.  So cute! used the Retired Grandma's House Stampset, Itty Bitty Christmas Stampset, Stitched So Sweetly, Be Mine Stitched Dies and my favourite Stampin' Blends.

Next card is a love card.  I used the retired Parisian Dies (I cut out three of them and layered them to really give some dimension) and the Stitched Shapes Dies.💕

My next two cards were made for their daughters so I couldn't resist creating some Valentine's day Gnomes.

Lots of punches and dies on these!  Stitched So Sweetly (of course - can't seem to make a card without these lately), retired Tropical Dies, Pine Tree Punch, Small Oval Punch (nose and feet) and Heart Punch Pack.

And another, same card, different patterns.

Love these cards and love to help people send love to their families.

Creative Stampers New Tutorial Starts Today!

Hey there!  It is time for another Creative Stampers Tutorial release!  This tutorial features project created by 11 amazing Stampin'UP! demonstrators from around the world featuring projects with a Love Theme!

Each tutorial includes full colour photos, measurements and a product list making it so easy to create your own projects.

Today, each of us will be sharing a second project using the same products we used to create the project in the tutorial.

Here is a sneak peek of my project included in the tutorial!

I can't share the tutorial project, but I can share a second project featuring the Hearts and Kisses Bundle.  This is such a fun bundle and we haven't had anything like it before.

In my second project, I created a love card using those lips as the 'O' in the word love for this super special valentine's day card.  I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to create the rest of the word.   If you are a scrapbooker, these dies are a must have!

The colours I used are , Pool Party and Melon Mambo.  My ribbon was white, but I coloured it with Pool Party Dark Stampin' Blends.

They other items featured are the Stitched So Sweetly dies (my favourite!), vellum for a simple layer and the Melon Mambo layer is embossed using the Subtle Embossing folder.  So pretty.

So how do you get your hands on the free tutorial bundle?

There are several ways to earn the Tutorial Bundle:

Love the Paper Players!

Hello everyone,

My second post for today!  So happy you are here to join me for the LOVE cards to play along with the Paper Players.

I hosted my monthly card class early so we can take advantage of Stampin'UP!'s fabulous new love products in the new mini catalogue.

Don't you just love when there are so many products that work together so well that your projects just come together so easily!  That is true for the Heartfelt Bundle.  You get 2 large punches - one scalloped heart and one flat edged heart.

I really think the DSP (Designer Series Paper) steals the show!  This patter is red foil.  Drool.  And these hearts are cut directly from the DSP!  It matches perfectly to the punch.  Voila, you have the perfect heart.

On this heart I added a one of the little stamps to fill some of that white space.  The greet is also from the stampset.  I cut it out with the 1 1/2" circle punch.

The second card is the same layout, just different hearts and patterns.  This heart is also a pattern in the DSP stack.  I think this one is my favourtie.  I cut it out with the staight edged heart and then added an red scalloped heart behind the patterned one.

My card class attendees were not disappointed with their valentines cards this year.

Love Card with Global Design Project

Hey there,

So glad you could stop by today!  Happy Monday!

I have a fun card to share with you, one to help prepare for Valentine's day.  I thought I would play along with the challenge over at Global Design Project.  They have a super fun sketch as inspiration.

I opted to flip the sketch a little, with my shape on the left and the trim up the edge instead of at the bottom.  I like how it turned out.  The stitched edge was created using one of the dies from the Stitched Be Mine dies.

The heart was also created using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  The greeting was cut with the Well Said dies.  Some of my all time favourite as they can be used for so many projects!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Happy new year my Stampin' friends!

I hope you were all able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season filled with love, family, friends and good cheer.  I think 2020 is going to be an amazing year and I am so excited to get started!

What better way to start the new year than to have a hop around with my blogging friends.  We have a wonderful theme - Can you Feel the Love tonight!  There are some super cute love products in the new mini catalogue that also goes live today, but I have chosen to focus on some of my favourtie love products in the annual catalouge.  Can you guess which ones?

valentine making stamp set

RIDE WITH ME PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

STITCHED BE MINE DIES

And here is the card I made.  I just love how it turned out.

I couldn't resist using this super ultra cute pick-up truck and colouring him Real Red with my Stampin' Blends.  I used Basic Grey for the bumper, hub caps, door handle and the running board (the place to put your foot to get in).  I used Basic Black to colour the tires and a tiny bit of Daffodil Delight for the headlight.  Don't forget to stamp it in Memento Ink so your colours don't bleed.  I also stamped my greeting in Memento which came from the Meant to Be Stampset.

I used only one die from the Stitched Be Mine set and that is the cloud of hearts.  I love it!  You can get all of these tiny, but different sized hearts, and wanted to use them to float out of the back to the truck.  I have some Real Red and some Melon Mambo hearts.  I cut the bottoms off of a few of the large ones to give the impression of them being in the back of the truck.  I attached them with glue dots to make quick work of getting them onto my card front.

I didn't wanted to waste the heart cloud outline and so cut out three more in Real Red to create the extra layer on the Whisper White to add interest.  In the end only some of the heart outlines peek out, which I like.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure to hop on through and see all of the wonderful creations that were made using the love theme we have for you!

All about LOVE Blog Hop.

Hello there,

Is your new year off to a good start? I am enjoying an extended break and quality time with my family.  They are my most favourtie people.

It's time for a Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  I just love this time of month because I get to hop around and see the great inspiration from some amazing demonstrators.  Ready to get started?

This month's theme is LOVE!  Perfect to get you ready for some love inspired cards for valentines day.  Here is my card...

I just LOVE how it turned out - pun intended.  LOL

First, I must say that the punch art design is not mine.  I purchased a tutorial from Erica Cerwin at Pink Buckaroo Designs.  She is an amazing demonstrator and has unlimited talent.

The original design was done in Cherry Cobbler and with a Christmas Tree in the back.  I envisioned it in Balmy Blue with a heart in the back for Valentines Day.

I used a Real Red cardbase, a layer of Crumb Cake and then a strip of Real Red DSP.  I usd the stamps from Jar of Love to add the background of hearts - Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, as well as the Love on the back of the pick-up truck.

Thank you for stopping by.  Be sure to hop on through the blog hop and get some Inkspiration.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello there,

So glad you took some time to stop by on Valentine's day! I have a super cute card just for this special day.

I took the opportunity to participate in 2 challenges this week, a Hand Stamped Sentiments and a colour challenge over at The Paper Players.

Here are the two challenges....

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #283

Awesome, right?  I truly LOVE this colour combination.  I have used it a number of times.  I think it is a classic!

I used lots of layers to make this card extra special.  My Stitched Shapes Framelits helped frame this curvy heart from the Sweet and Sassy Thinlits collection.

My sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stampset and the teeny tiny little hearts are punched using the retired Confetti Heart Border Punch. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the square, the heart and the sentiment are all popped up on dimensionals.  Bringing more attention to the focal point of the card.  And as usual, I couldn't resist adding a cute little bow.

Hope you enjoyed my card.  Have a wonderful Valentine's day!

Valenties Day with Roger's TV Daytime!

Hi my Stampin' friends,

I am so excited to share with you the pictures of my Valentines projects and the display I had for my most recent visit to see my friends at Roger's TV show Daytime!  I just LOVE my time there and creating projects for their viewers and we even get to create some projects live on air!

Here are the pictures I took that day...The first are some of my whole display.

This next picture is of some home decor I created using my Sweet and Sassy Framelits.  Did you know that you get 15 different thinlits in that Sweet and Sassy framelits pack?  Awesome value!  I used an old shadow box and I created 4 different sized hearts using the more curvy heart in the package and cut them out of different patterned paper from the Sending Love DSP Stack.   I think this was my favourite project from this show.

Next is another home decor item I made.   This time with a regular picture frame and my Large Letters Framelits.  I used some Real Red Glitter paper to create the 'Xs and Os" as well as the tiny heart in the corner - so cute!

This picture includes some little valentines treats that I made.  Treat bags for my kids bus driver and a truffle heart with a decorated belly band.  There is also another Valentines Card in the corner.
I also made a couple of different Window Boxes.  This is the one we made live on air!  I just love those little kissy lips.
Here is another one I made for display - more hugs and kisses!

A close up of one of the cards with the other two photo bombing!  lol
Here is a close up of the truffle hearts with belly bands.  Each one was a little bit different.  I love just playing around.
And last but not least a close up of the tags for the treat bags. I gave out some to the folks at Daytime for all of their hard work another is earmarked for my garbage man who help coral my dog when he got loose last week  - ugh, but that is another story!

However you like to spend Valentines Day, I hope you enjoy it.

Valenites with The Paper Players

Hey there stampers,

I have a great valentines day card for you today and it has already run a mile.  I created it for The Paper Players Challenge......

http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.ca/2017/02/pp330-theme-challenge-from-claire.html

my card class ladies created it in my Valentines Day card class and then I took it with me today as a part of my Valentines Day display for my  appearance on Roger's Daytime TV!

I just love this theme challenge and I am so happy to participate with my card.  This card is my favourite of the 3 that I made for my class and for Daytime.

I created it using the Sealed with Love Bundle.  I had so much fun playing with all of those little framelits, and who says they have to be for Valenties.  How about a nice anniversary card or just sending a little note to say hi.

I also included the new DSP paper from the Sending Love paper stack that is featured in the Occasions Catalogue.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check my blog tomorrow to see more of the Valentines projects I made for my trip to see my friends at Daytime.
