Happy August 1st everyone,

Where has the summer gone?!  It is half over and I know as soon as the calendar hits August 1st, the night air is cooler and back to school is just around the corner.  There are definitely parts of that I enjoy and routine is one of them and whether my kids admit it or not they like it to!  Lol.

August 1st also means time for a new Blogging Friends Blog Hop and this month the theme is all about me!

All about me... I love ❤️ paper crafting! Scrap booking was my first love and now cards are my main source of creativity.  I will be celebrating 15 years of marriage with my handsome husband this month and I have 3 wonderful sons who I am so very proud of!  All of this keeps me so busy and oh so very happy.

But, now let me share with you what you have really stopped in for....this months project.

I used one of my favourite top bundles released in the Annual Catalogue, Coffee Cafe!  I just love this bundle it has lots of extras that can go with ordering coffee from your favourite 'to-go' restaurant.  Another tid-bit of information about me - I love buying bundles!  why not save 10% on your favourites things?!

The colours I used are Early Espresso, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Bust.  I just love this year's In-Colours and I love the way they look with some of my old favourites.

I made 7 of these cards as my share of a swap I was participating in with some of my demo friends.

I hope that these cards have inspired you and you have learned a little bit more about me!

Less is more with Christmas

Hello Stampers,

Yep, you guessed it, I have decided to create my first Christmas card of the year!  EEEK!  I know it is months away, but, I am already trying to get ready with class ideas and fun, fun products.

The challenge this week over at Less if More, fit this Christmas card perfectly, at least my version of less, which I hope meets the rules.

Their challenge this week is anything but stamps - what fun.

Here is the card I made with this challenge in mind and made specifically for a swap I am participating in that needed a Christmas theme.

This card was so easy to make using the Christmas Stocking Thinlits Die.  I just love all of the little stockings, some larger and some smaller.

Christmas Stockings Thinlits Dies

As you can see the greeting is even from this set!  Perfect.  You could have a ton of fun with all the pieces here making many different styles of stockings.

I made 7 of these little beauties for my swap.

Stampin'up! is also celebrating Christmas in July.  To learn more about this awesome program please click here.

Thank you for joining me today.  Happy Stampin'

When Pigs Fly!!

Hey there Stampers,

Hope you are having a good week.  Finally, we have had a few days of nice summer weather.  It has been one rainy summer here in Ontario.

I joined in a group swap this week with my upline and group of sideline demonstrators.  There were three different cards we were to create each using different criteria.  Today, I am going share with you the card I created with a new stampset from the annual catalogue.

Case this Sketch has the sketch that I used to create this first card....

Here is the card I made...

I turned the sketch up side down and used my favourite whimsical set from the Annual Catalgoue.  I wanted some contrasting colours, so started with a basic black card base and layered it with Pretty in Pink embossed cardstock.

I stamped the image on watercolour paper and then coloured my little piggy using the aqua-painter and the pretty in pink and basic grey inkpads.  Then I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I then layered a basic black square, tied a ribbon around it and put it all up on dimensionals.  I added a strip of dsp to add another layer to the card.

I really loved how it turned out.

Be sure to stop in and see all of the inspirational cards created using this sketch over at CASE this Sketch.

Dragonfly Watercolouring

Welcome!  So glad you stopped by!

I have a very feminine card to share with you today.  One that I created for my recent Dragonfly Dreams focused card class.

I knew I wanted to use the die from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits with all those little dragonflies.  I also knew I wanted some watercolouring.  Here is the card that I created with that in mind...

I watercoloured using some really nice soft colours starting with Pink Pirouette, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Old Olive and Sweet Sugarplum onto watercolour paper.  Once it was dry, I ran it through my BigShot to cut out the little dragonflies.

I really love how this card turned out.  Perfect for one of my besties!
