Night Divine

Night Divine Christmas

Hello everyone!

Well it's been a long while since I have been able to share some of my cards.  Life changes got in my way.  I am so excited to share my latest card.

I love how it turned out.

The cardbase is Grey Granite, the patter paper DSP is an older pattern but thought it was great for a nativity scene.

I popped the manger scene up on dimensionals.

Hoping you decide to give some handmade cards this Christmas season.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

 Hello,
Hope you have had a good February and are ready for all that March will bring!  This month for our Blogging Friends blog Hop we are celebrating Sale-a-Bration!  The most wonderful time of the year - Stampin'UP! style.

My favourite free Sale-a-Bration item is the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.  If you follow my blog, you know that I am addicted to patterned paper.  I tend to hoard my favourites and this is one of them.  There are so many awesome patterns in the pack. This one is Lemon Lime Twist with lots of carbonated bubbles!  Way too cute!!

I knew I wanted to use my Bubble Over Bundle to go with my DSP.  I used my sponges to colour the bottles to make some flavoured pop.

My greeting is from my all time favourite stampset, Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Be sure to hop on through and see favourites my blogging friends love from Sale-a-Bration!

Male Card

Hello my stampin' friends,

I have a great, versatile card to share with you today.  One of my regular card class ladies had requested a male inspired birthday card - thank you Bonnie for the request!

I also saw that the Global Design Project team had a theme challenge for the week looking for male inspired cards.

GDP103

Here is my card.  I like how it turned out.  My image is one for a retired set that I just had to keep in my stash.  I just love the antique images in this set.  The colours are Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Basic Grey.  I used the circle punches to frame the image.

I used my most favourite greeting set of all time Teeny Tiny Wishes!  If you don't have this set you MUST get it!  lol Seriously it has a stamp for every occasion.  I chose to make this card a birthday card.  Who doesn't need male birthday cards in their stash?

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to stop over at Global Design Project to see all of the male inspired cards that have been created.

Toadally Awesome Stampin' Celebration Challenge

So glad you stopped by today!  We have a Toadally Awesome challenge for you this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  :)

Some fabulous picture inspiration.....wait until you see this!
What part of these pictures did you notice first?  For me, it was the fabulous colours!  Then that cute little frog and then the patterns and finally the banners!  Oh my gosh - this is perfect inspiration for a mom of three boys!

So, can you guess what stampset I used for this card?  Yep - You're Sublime!  It has the perfect little frog for this project.

Here is my card...

What do you think? I just love how this turned out!

I started with this super cute frog from the stampset You're Sublime.  I knew I wanted him inside of a circle and then framed with another, slightly larger circle.  I also knew that I wanted some banners on my card and that they would be in the top corner after seeing how large the circles would be.  Then, I turned my attention to the colours and layers of the card base.  Once I picked the layers for the cardbase, I chose the colours and patterns for the banners and circle frame.

Finally, I pulled out my blender pens and coloured the frog.  Here he is close up...

All of the layers are flat onto each other.  But the circles are popped up onto dimensionals.  Here is a final look at my card...

Be sure to join us this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge - I can't wait to see what you create!

A Sassy Thank you!

Good morning my Stampin' friends,

I hope you are having a great weekend so far.  I thought I would share one of the cards we made at my last card class....a Sassy Thank you!

I used two of my favourites stampsets from the Annual Catalogue - Sassy Salutations and Gorgeous Grunge!  They are SO versatile!

The Sassy Salutations are a great size for the front of a card or even a scrapbook page!  And the Gorgeous Grunge is perfect for subtly filling in those blank spaces you may not want!  Used to make mud marks on a page or card, blood spaltters at Halloween time, water marks for a great nautical theme.....the possibilities are endless!

Here is the card I made....

My colour combo is Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  I used my Circles Framelits and my Circle punches to make the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Circles.

The DSP is from the retired fall pack from the most recent Holiday catalogue.  I polished it off with some Whisper White Ribbon and coloured Rhinestones.

Wine Bottle Tag with The Friday Mashup FMS 181!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving celebrations.

This week I had the great pleasure of papercrafting on the Roger's TV show Daytime!  One of the projects I made live was a wine bottle tag!  I thought it was a perfect match to submit to the challenge over at The Friday Mashup!  There are some really great tags for all of the upcoming holidays!  Be sure to stop on over and have a look!

These are so great to dress up a wine bottle for your hostess!  It just gives an added personal touch which is always appreciated for any occasion.

I used a 3 1/2 inch by 8 1/2 inch piece of Soft Suede Cardstock and I rounded the corners.  I scored the cardstock on the long side at 3 1/2 inches to create the part that hangs you put onto the neck of the wine bottle.  I punch a hole in the short end using my 2 1/2 inch circle punch.

For the decorative part of the tag, I used the Colour Me Autumn DSP from the new Holiday Catalogue - there are SO many really beautiful patterns in this pack!  I rounded the bottom corners to match the cardstock.

I added a strip of Burlap ribbon and cut the ends to make it look like a banner.  The leaf I made using More Mustard Cardstock and my Autumn Accents BigZ die.  I sponged it to make it look a little worn.  I added a bow using the 3/8 inch Stitched Satin Ribbon in Mossy Meadow found in the Annual Catalogue.  For an added touch I used a little acorn from the Autumn Wooden Elements found in the Holiday Catalogue.

I think it would be nice to receive a wine bottle with a handmade tag for Thanksgiving, wouldn't you?

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see all of the other projects that I made with the crew from Roger's TV Daytime!

Summer Fun with Sea Street!

Hello there!

Thank you for stopping by!  I have a really fun card that I made with my card class ladies this week.  It features the Sea Street Stamp set, and the Maritime Designer Series Paper that is in this year's Annual Catalogue!  I just love the colours in this DSP and they are a perfect fit for the colour challenge over at Stampin' Royalty, although I missed it.  But, you must stop by there to see the great cards that have been created!

I thought I would enter this into the most recent challenge over at SUO Challenges.  Their challenge was a summer theme - this fits perfectly!  If you haven't seen the great inspiration there, you must hop on over there too!  SO much talent!

Here is my card......

I started with a Night of Navy Card Base and then a Real Red layer, then I added the DSP onto that.  I cut each layer 1/4 shorter so that you can really see it.  I wrapped some Navy ribbon around the two top layers.

I stamped that cute little octopus in Night of Navy and cut him out using the 2 1/2" circle punch.  The real red circle was made using the Circle framelits.  I popped them up using dimensionals.  I used some scrap pieces to stamp and frame my greeting, which by the way is from the And Many More stamp set from the new catalogue as well!  I LOVE this set!  It can be used for SO many occasions!

I finished it off with a bow.  This will be perfect for my cousin's little boy who will be turning 2 in a couple of weeks!

I hope you enjoyed my card.

Happy Stampin'
