Hey there my Stampin' friends!

Glad you were able to stop by today.  I wanted to give you a sneak peak at the card I am going to make with my card class friends at my next Christmas card class!

I had a request from one of my friends to do a card with some colouring - so what better stamp set than the new Color Me Christmas, from the new Seasonal Catalogue!

I just love these little characters!  There are 5 in all.  Click on the catalogue on the left of my blog and get a direct link to the pages inside!

I chose to use the present image for the sample, but there is a Santa, Rudolf, a Christmas tree and a stocking - perfect!

I also used my favorite embossing folder ....the fab chevron!  As well as the carry over stampset More Merry Messages!  If you have trouble with what to say inside a card - this set is for you!  There are 10 stamps in this set!

Well, here is my card.

The supplies I used are....

Thanksgiving with a Gorgeous Grung Scrapbook Page!

Hi there my Stampin' friends!

Today is Thanksgiving here in Canada!  My family spends the long weekend camping along with two other families.  We have a full traditional meal with all the fixings in the great out doors!  Camping with the leaves in their beautiful fall colours is awesome...and no bugs!

Have you seen the new Gorgeous Grunge stamp set from the Annual Catalogue?  Woowzers!  Gorgeous is right!  It has to be my new favourite stamp set!  If you haven't noticed it - check out on page 109 of the catalogue.

It is SO versatile - perfect for some added touches to a card or scrapbook page.

I decided to try it out on a scrapbook page using a picture of two people I am VERY thankful for - my two youngest boys!  I just LOVE this picture of them together - it shows how thankful they are for each other as well!

Here is my page....

There are SO many things going on with this page!  I started with Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper and used my Gorgeous Grunge splotches in different colours.

I used the Six-Sided Sampler Bundle to create the honey comb shapes on the left side of the picture - you save %15 when you buy the Stampset and matching punch!

I also used super fun ABC - 123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers Stampset to create the word LOVE!  It is awesome for scrapbook pages!

And let's not forget the Washi tape!  Have you tried this yet?  I can't believe how easy it is to use!

Here is the full list of supplies I used...

Epic Day This and That DSP
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Six-Sided Sampler Bundle (Stampset and matching punch)
Gorgeous Grunge Stampset
ABC - 123 Alphabet and Numbers Stampset
Pool Party Inkpad
Calypso Coral Inkpad
Early Espresso Inkpad
Epic Day Designer Washi Tape
3/4" Chevron Ribbon in Calypso Coral

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #196

Hello there!  Really glad you stopped by!

Have you been over to Stampin' Royalty lately?  They have a BEAUTIFUL, festive fall picture for inspiration this week!  It is totally up my alley - I would feel very at home if I lived in that picture!

So I did my best to try to re-create this classy, traditional and festive feel.  To do this, I chose to use my all-time favourite paper!  I have waited an entire year to use this paper (yes it is retired) - do you ever have that?  You love a paper so much you don't want to use it?  Please tell me that I am not the only one who is addicted to paper!  So I kept my card simple to get full view of it!

Here is my card.  Let me know what you think!

I hope you can see the picture ok - my camera has decided not to show up for work today!

I used one of the pieces from the Designer Series Paper of last year's Halloween pack - it just screams classy, doesn't it?

I added a little pumpkin punch art - I just love making these!  They are perfect whether you use a circle or oval punch.  I used the bird builder punch for the leaves.  They are awesome on a scrapbook page too!

Here is the list of supplies I used........

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Basic Black Cardstock
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Basic Black Inkpad
1" Circle Punch
Bird Builder Punch
1" Square Punch (for the banner end for the saying)
Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (regrettably retired)
1/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Pumpkin Pie

Deck the Halls!

Hi there!

Glad you stopped by!  This week I held another one of my Christmas card classes - I had 23 ladies join me!  It was SO much fun!

I start my Christmas card classes in August - yep, August!  I have a one Christmas card class each month and we make 4 cards at each class...the idea is everyone has 20 handmade cards after December's class to send with their Christmas wishes to their friends and family.  I have to say - it is a huge hit!

So what does it look like when you are cutting 100 cards?  I love to see the cardstock and paper stacked up after it is all cut........

Here is the card we made...

I used the new stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Christmas Messages.  I just LOVE this set!  It has really great messages for the inside of your card as well as fab greetings for the front as well!  Awesome choice for your Christmas cards this year!  This 'deck the halls' worked perfectly with the second smallest framelit from the labels collection.

So here are the supplies I used:

Very Vanilla Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Be of Good Cheer DSP (retired)
Cherry Cobbler Ribbon
Big Shot
Labels Collection Framelits
Rhinestones

Thank you for taking a look!
