Hey there stampers,

It's the first of the month and you know what that means.....blog hop time with my blogging friends!  This month the theme is Love!  Fitting right before Valentine's Day.  I just love making some cute treats for my friends, co-workers and the teachers in our lives.  In fact, I have been known to just pass out treats to people I see often in my everyday life.  Like at my favourite convenience store, or someone that just looks like they could use a pick-me-up!  It just feels good to put a smile on someone's face, don't ya' think?

So with that in mind, I have 2 sweet little Valentine's projects to share with you today for our Blog Hop.  I created a fun card as well as a super sweet little box to hold some Valentine's treats.

I am using some new goodies from the Occasions catalogue as well as a new to me thinlits set! (I just love getting new things to play with.)  Below is the Valentine's treat box made with the new Window Box Thinlits.  The box is made using Pink Pirouette lined with Real Red to show off that intricate detail I put onto the top of the box.  Those details are made with a die that comes with with set and you can use it or not - I just love when you get options like that.  The tag was made with a thinlit that comes with the Window Box Thinlits Dies as well.  And finally the greeting on the tag is from the coordinating stampset called Window Shopping.
The card I made is so simple, but oh so cute!  I used the same colours, Whispher White, Real Red and Pink Pirouette.  I embossed the Pink layer using the new Falling Petals Embossing folder from the Occasions catalogue. These little petals look a lot like hearts to me, so couldn't resist using it for this project. The die cut greeting and the die cut heart were created using the Sunshine Sayings Thinlits from the Annual Catalogue and that sweet little wooden heart is from the Occasions Catalogue in a pack called Sending Love Embellishments.

That wraps up my post for today.  Be sure to stop by later in the week, I will have some more Valentine's projects for you, as well next week, I will appearing on the Roger's Daytime show for a Valentine's Day Special.  I will be sure to share some pictures with you after the show.

So on the the next stop of our hop - Rick Adkins - your gonna love what he has to show us!
