Hey everyone,
I have a fun and simple card to share with your today as I join the challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. They have a fun and fall colour challenge for us!
Aren't those colour beautiful and I think they are perfect timing as we are expecting some snow tonight! We have has some already here in southern Ontario, but it didn't last long - thank goodness, I hadn't pulled out everyone's winter coats yet.
I had some fun playing with this stampset. I met the cutest couple at a craft show I was at they have been commissioning me to make cards for them. I have a list each month for the occasion and relation the card is for. I am just LOVING this!
They needed an extra Crongratulations card and I wanted to make it universal. A fall tree was the answer.
I used the old and true 'thumping' technique where you stamp into the lightest ink colour, then use the painting side of the Stampin' Write markers to tap or 'thump' the paint brush end onto the stamp. When you have finished adding all of the colour your would like, Huff onto the stamp, to add moisture, and stamp your image. Voila! A fall foliage tree!
My layers on the card are Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Whisper White. The tree base is Early Espresso and the colours in the leaves are Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.
I die cut Congrats in Crushed Curry and added some twine and a Cajun Craze bow.
I hope you enjoyed my card. Please be sure to stop by again.
Happy Stampin'
Tammy
