A Beautiful Thing!

Hey there,

It is the Friday of a long weekend here in Ontario, Canada, so I have a super quick post for you today.  We are headed to the cottage for a family reunion and I can't wait!

But first, Fab Friday has an amazing sketch for us to play along with.  What a great way to end the week!

Here is the sketch..

Fun right?  SO many possibilities!

I have a card to share with your from my Seasonal Layers Bundle class that I didn't share before!  We had a ton of fun with this stampset and framelits, which are still available, just without the bundle price. These two are perfect for all four Canadian Seasons.  These two are one of my all time favourites.  Here is my card to share...

A good match for the sketch.  I wanted to show my card class ladies that the leaves are great to use as summer time leaves as well as with fall colours.  I used a couple of different greens on this card.  One for the small leaf, I stamped off on the large solid leaf and then full strength ink on the lined image over top.  For the leaves I used Old Olive and Pear Pizazz.

Of course, I wanted some layering around my sentiment witch is also from the Colourful Seasons Stampset and so I stamped it on a Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle and framed it with the large scalloped circle from the Layer Circles Thinlits.

I almost always have a bow - I just like how it finishes a card off.

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to stop on over at Fab Friday to see all that is created with this sketch in mind.

Happy stampin'

International Blog Hightlights

Image may contain: text

Hello everyone,

So I glad you stopped in today!  I am taking part in Kyle Bertucci's International Blog Highlights!  It is so much fun to play along and meet other demonstrators across the globe.

The blog highlight is a friendly competition with the top 10 participants creating a blog hop the following month.

This month's theme is FRIENDSHIP.   I knew exactly which of my recent cards I was going to share as soon as I saw the theme. Its a card I made using the Colourful Seaasons Stampset and Seasonal layers Thinlits.

I started by cutting 4 scalloped edged narrow strips of paper.  I loosely put them in rainbow order.  I love the large scallops that this thinlit makes.

I layered a scalloped circle from the Layered Circle Thinlits and a stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

The sentiment and the image are from the Colourful Seasons stampset.  I LOVE how the branch and flowers fit so beautifully together.

I popped both circles up onto dimensionals and finished my card off with a bow.

If you enjoyed my card and would like to vote for me, simply click the icon below.  And of course, I am always happy to hear from you in my comments below!

You Make Me Smile with Watercooler Wednesday

Well, hello.  So happy you could stop by!

I have a fun feminine coloured card for you today.  It is a very simple card, but a great one for a friend.

There is a challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge WWC168.  It is called Helen's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge and I think my card is perfect for this challenge.

Here is my card...

I just love the Pink, Black and white colour combinations!  I used my favourite retiring bundle for this card, Colourful Seasons Bundle!  The sentiment and the scalloped edge - yep all from that bundle.

You will still be able to purchase the individual pieces after June 1, but to get the bundle discount of 10%, you will want to order it by May 31!

Check out my on-line store here.

Be sure to stop by to see all of the cards submitted to the challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!

Sieze the Birthday with Colourful Seasons

Hello there,

Happy Monday.  I hope you had a great weekend.  I had an awesome one!  I spent the weekend with my besties scrapbooking!!!!  I will have some pages to share with you in the coming weeks.  I needed that rejuvenation.

I have a great card to start off the week. It is one that I made as a part of my Seasonal Bundle card class.  Anyone who purchased the bundle, got the class for free AND they got a free sale-a-bration item AND I gave them a little token of my appreciation.  What the Seasonal Layers Bundle before it isn't a bundle on June 1st?  Order from me and get the make n takes free!

I also wanted to submit my card for the Seize the Birthday challenge this week.  Here is their challenge...

Our "Toppings" option this time is...
"Vibrant Colors"

Who doesn't need birthday cards in their stash.   This has to be the type of card I give out the most.  Here is my card...

I love this orange and this sling back chair!  Perfect for beach weather, which I hope we can count on soon.   I wanted to combine the beach chair with some bold stripes.  They remind me of the vintage beach huts from the old movies.

I chose a greeting from the stampset that could be used for a birthday.  I love the layers and bright colours.

Be sure to stop by Seize the Birthday and see all of the birthday cards that have been submitted.

Coper Leaf with Freshly Made Sketches

Hello there,

thanks for stopping by today.  I have a simple but beautiful card to share with you today.  I have been using my favourite bundle, Colourful Seasons, to create an entire card class focused it.  If you love this bunlde, you should get it before April 30th, when it will not longer be offered as a bundle and saving you 10%!

Here is my first card of my tailored card class....

Here is the sketch I used to help create this card.  Freshly Made Sketches had a wonderful sketch to follow this week.

Here is a close up of the beautiful copper leaf that is the focus of my card.  I just love this leaf and it looks so pretty in copper.  I added some copper thread behind the layers that frame the leaf.

I added a strip of the woodgrain dsp.  I love it.  I purposefully left this card without a greeting.  It would be great for a masculine card for any occasion.

Be sure to stop by all this week to see all 6 of the cards I created for this specialty card class.

Beach Theme with Colourful Seasons

Hi there my stampin' friends,

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I have a really fun card to share with you!  I wanted to create thank you cards for the swimming instructors that my younger two boys had this summer as well as the Head Life Guard.  My boys just loved their instructors, they had so much fun and learned so much.  SO, a thank you card was definitely in order!

To create these cards, I participated in two challenges this week - Stamp, Ink, Paper has a great beach theme this week and Paper Craft Crew Challenges had an awesome sketch challenge.  I combined them both to create may card.

Here is the card I created....

I just love this little muskoka chair and I think seeing it in red is my favourite.  I framed the muskoka chair with a circle created with my Stitched Shapes Framelits I also used the scalloped thinlit also from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to create some 'waves'.  I think it is so cute.

Here is a picture of my two boys at waiting for their lesson.
Here is everything that is included with the Colourful Seasons Bundle, minus the card of course. :)
