Tags for Fundraising Baskets

Hi there,

I have been working hard at balancing all things in my life these days, my little crafting business, working full time, being a mom to 3 very busy boys and fitting in some quality time with my dear hubby, so my blog has been a little bit scattered.

But I do have a fun project to share with you today...a project that I made a while ago for one of son's hockey team fundraisers.

The fundraiser was a raffle for 3 different baskets and each basket had a theme.  (Theme's make things so much fun!)  The themes were 'Boys Club', 'Girl's Night Out' and 'Coffee and Things'. So each of the baskets were filled with beverages and accessories to match each theme.  All parents pitched in and sold tickets for the baskets and then there was a draw for each one.

BUT...what is a basket without a tag that can illustrate the theme?  So, I offered to help and make a tag for each of the baskets.  Here are my tags.....

I used some of my favourite ribbons and retired framelits to help capture the themes.  I found some fun and free fonts online to create the basket name and framed each with the Deco Framelits.  I used my Banner Framelits to create the background with the colour of the basket and some vellum.  Here is the  tag for first basket - girls night out!  It had some yummy girly drinks.

The second basket is for the coffee cognisor.  Oh so cute!

The final tag is for the Boys Club basket - lots of drinks inside for the men!

So which one of my little babies were these for?

My oldest.  (Brace yourself, proud mama moment ahead.)  Here is he is doing what he LOVES......

Valentine's with Paper Craft Crew

Hello stampin' friends,

I have been working away in my craft space and boy it feels good!  But I needed a little bit of inspiration so I headed on over to the Paper Craft Crew and found sketch #176!

Paper Craft Crew Challenge 176. #papercraftcrew #cardsketch

Great sketch isn't it?  Be sure to stop in and see all of the great creations made using it.  You can do that here.

And here is my card that I created using this sketch...

Well, how did I do?

I was thinking valentines and I LOVE Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler together, so I found this DSP in the English Garden Pack.  I framed it with a Whisper White layer and wrapped my ribbon around them both.  I put them on top of a Crumb Cake cardbase.

I cut the different sized hearts using the retired Heart Framelits and popped them up on Dimensionals.

The greeting has come from the stampset Crazy About You.   I stamped it in Early Espresso.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Celebration Blog Challenge!

Hi there!

I hope you had an awesome weekend!  My family and I were at a cottage enjoying what is left of our summer weather - I just love being right on the water.  My kids love it too!

Ready for another Stampin' Celebration Challenge?  Wow does time fly!  But I love this sketch we have for you this week - I have been looking forward to creating this card!

Here is our sketch...

So, I am still having a lot of fun with the English Garden DSP and just had to use the bumble bee pattern for this card.  Here it is...

I used a Note Tag Punch and the Ornate Tag Topper Punch to the layered tag and my heart was created using the smallest Hearts framelits.  The greeting is from And Many More stampset.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to see all of the great creations over at Stampin' Celebration and make sure to play along!

Happy Stampin'

Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for stopping by!  I have another Valentine's Day card for you and I have used lots of my new goodies to make it!

I thought I would try out the sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday to give me some inspiration.  I just love to get the ideas flowing with a sketch - and they have a great one!

Here is my card............

I took my colour inspiration from the Stacked with Love DSP stack although didn't use any of their patterned paper - just stole the colour combo. ;)

One of my favorite new tools is the Confetti Heart Border Punch.  It makes some great teeny tiny hearts for a shaker card! Hmm, that maybe my next card.  I used the great Valentine's day stampset from the Occasions Catalogue, You Plus Me.

Finally, I used my Hearts Framelits in 2 different sizes to get my heart shapes for the front of my card.

Happy Stampin'

Teeny Tiny Wishes Pink Valentine

Hello there!  Thanks for stopping by!

Just a quick post today with a very girly valentine - I just couldn't resist doing something really pink for this one.   I took my color cues from the Designer Series Paper (DSP)...it makes things SO easy!

I started with a basic Whisper White card base and added a layer of Rose Red that matches perfectly to the diamond pattern of the DSP - it is from a retired paper pack.  I cut the white heart using my Heart framelits and used the Full Heart punch to cut the Blushing Bride.

Here is a picture of my card.....

I dry embossed my Blushing Bride heart with my Adorning Accents embossing folder.  I also used the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch to frame the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes stampset.

And of course a girly card must have some rhinestones!  I just love that they come in different sizes!  I used a larger one on my heart and two smaller ones on either side of my greeting - a perfect way to draw your attention there!

Here is a little closer look at the card.

Here is the complete list of supplies I used...........

Whisper White Cardstock
Rose Red Cardstock
Blushing Bride Cardstock
Designer Series Paper
White Ribbon
Rhinestones
BigShot
Adorning Accents Embossing Folder
Word Window Punch
