The Friday Mashup - Valentines Style

The Friday Mashup has a really fun challenge for us this week - Valentines and Candy - what a perfect match up!

Here is the challenge.....

Great picture, isn't it?!  I am totally lovin' the valentines treats.

SO, I thought I would share my 3D project that I made for my most recent appearance on Daytime, Roger's TV.  Here is my project...

I used the Baker's Box Thinlit to create this treat holder.

Do you have the Baker's Box Thinlit?  I think this might be my favourite!  I love the size of the box - perfect for just the right amount of treats....even a cupcake.  AND it is on sale until tonight at midnight

I used the Note Tag punch, Groovy Kind of Love stampset with coordinating Sweetheart punch and Love Blossoms Embellishment kit to help decorate the box.  The patterned paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP stack.

The box on the left is the one we made live on TV.  :)

Here is a video from Stampin'UP! about the Baker's Box Thinlit.

Be sure to stop by and see of the wonderful Friday Mashup creations here!

Happy stampin'

Valentines Daytime, Roger's TV

Happy Valentine's day!

I have projects to share with you today from my most recent appearance on Daytime, with Roger's TV.

But, I have to confess, that I forgot my camera on that day, so a few of my pictures aren't great quality...I took them with my phone.

I used some really great tools, paper and cardstock to create my projects for the show. I showcased the Love Blossoms DSP stack and lots of different glimmer paper.

Lovin' the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit!  So beautiful in person.  I made some 4 x4 cards with the heart as the focal point.  I emphasized them with the Wink of Stella pen for some added glitter.  I made some arrows with some sucker sticks and punches.  This is perfect for Valentines, but can you picture is for a wedding card or wedding shower card?

I also made some cute valentines for the kiddo's using the You're Sublime stampset.  This stampset is SO 'kid-friendly'!  Perfect for the kids to help with some stamping and colouring and these stamps have some 'oh so cute' sayings.  The coloured card base is 2 1/4" and the Whisper White card is 2" once folded.

And here are the insides.

I made some candy sleeves with some cute little tags.  There was a quartet of 7-10 year olds on the show that day, so I was sure to give them each one as well as the camera people who are always so friendly and helpful.
My final picture is of the hosts using my display to shoot a commercial for the next day's show.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see the 3-D project I made for the show.

 Happy Valentine's day!

Stampin' Celebration Blog Challenge!

Hi there!

I hope you had an awesome weekend!  My family and I were at a cottage enjoying what is left of our summer weather - I just love being right on the water.  My kids love it too!

Ready for another Stampin' Celebration Challenge?  Wow does time fly!  But I love this sketch we have for you this week - I have been looking forward to creating this card!

Here is our sketch...

So, I am still having a lot of fun with the English Garden DSP and just had to use the bumble bee pattern for this card.  Here it is...

I used a Note Tag Punch and the Ornate Tag Topper Punch to the layered tag and my heart was created using the smallest Hearts framelits.  The greeting is from And Many More stampset.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to see all of the great creations over at Stampin' Celebration and make sure to play along!

Happy Stampin'

World's Greatest Dad, Mojo Monday Style

Hey there,

Forgive me for being a bit late on my posts this week.....June is SUCH a busy moth for me!  All three of my boys celebrate their birthdays, in Ontario school ends (teacher gifts, bus driver gifts - you get the idea) and last but not least.....Father's Day!  And, I am a lucky girl who get's to celebrate two wonderful father's of my own as well as a terrific Husband and Father-in-law!  Lots of celebrating this month at my house.

To help with all of this gift giving, I went on over to Mojo Monday (MOJO401) - well actually, I am a subscriber to their e-mails, so their ideas land right in my inbox - and got some great card layout inkspiration so to speak  ;)

Here is my card....

And here is the sketch layout.....

So, how did I do?

There were a few things I knew I wanted to use for this card - the Guy Greeting Stampset  that was carried over to the new Annual Catalogue (yah) as well as the new ultra lightweight DSP from the new Annual Catalogue - perfect for adding to a card.  All of the dads in my life are very mechanical, so I was so happy to see the tools in this stampset.  Now, just to decide which dad to give it to.  lol

Happy Stampin'!

Masculine Birthday Card

Hello there!  Thanks for stopping by!

I have a very simple masculine card for you today.  We could all use more cards for the men in our lives, couldn't we?

I find it hard sometimes to get some inspiration for masculine cards and so I turned to some patterned paper in my stash - this one is from the fall DSP pack from our last catalogue.  It is a fun geometric pattern.

I took my colour cue from the DSP as well.  I let the DSP do the talkin' so to speak!

I added the fun punches of Spiral Boarder and the Note Tag and finally a bit of ribbon and voila - a card was born!  ;)

Here is my card......

Thanksgiving with Roger's TV

Hello everyone,

Thank you for stopping by!

This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I had the great honour of spending some time with my friends on the Roger's TV show Daytime show yesterday to celebrate!

I had a great time doing some papercrafting and sharing the beautiful products Stampin'UP! has to offer for this very festive time of year.

I thought you might like to see the things we created and that I had on display.

First, a picture of my whole display

This picture is the front of a wine bottle tag that we made live on the show!  Picture it on a beautiful wine bottle - I had left mine at home and forgot to bring it for the show!  ;)  Wouldn't it be nice to decorate a bottle of wine for your hostess?

This is a little bit of home decor.  I created this picture in a small frame that I found at the dollar store!  Great added touch for your festivities.  I used my Autumn Leave Bigz die to make lots of leaves for my display table, my Oval Framleits for the pumpkin and my Decorative Label Punch for my greeting.

This is a picture of treat holder made using the new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die!  I just LOVE these!  I thought this on would be great for a place setting on your table.  I added a little DSP for some interest.

This picture is a little turkey I created using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die and some of punches and Framelits.  I CASED the idea from Debbie Henderson - be sure to stop by her blog and see all of the great things she has made using this Thinlits Die!

The next picture is an invitation that I had made.  We didn't have enough time to make it live on the show, but we did point it out for the views to see - I even made a special envelope using my Envelope Punch Board - it just makes it extra special!

More Curvy Keepsake boxes and tags using the Merry Everything Stampset and matching Punch!  With the bundle you save 15%!  This set will take you from Thanksgiving right through to Christmas!  LOVE it!

I made the boxes using all of the colours I had for the show - fun 'pumkins' in every colour!  I used my Gorgeous Grunge stampset to get the lines on them.  And added different accessories like twine, ribbon and those adorable mini clothes pins!

Well, I hope the projects I made will inkspire you to add some handmade touches to your Thanksgiving festivites!

Happy Thanksgiving!
