Thank you Sunsine and Rainbows

Hi there!

Today, I wanted to share with you the second pillow /thank you gift I made for my team leader and my room mate.  I used a really awesome bundle that is retiring, although didn't know it at the time.   I am SO glad I used it and will have to get a few more projects in before it goes away for good.  Can you guess which one?

It is also fits with this week's theme over at Global Design Project!

It's the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle!!  I made a large matchbook style holder for the fun treat inside and used the bundle to create this really cute picture for the cover.  The base is Marina Mist, the rainbow colours are Real Red, Tangerine Tango , Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder.  The greeting is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, which is also retiring.  Eek!

And here is the treat inside....rainbow Ice flavoured gum!  Truly, I am not sure how it tastes, but the packaging was prefect for the Sunshine and Rainbow Bundle.  :)

I am going to love having this Bundle in my collection.  Perfect for all types of cards, scrapbook pages and 3D projects.  And, a great way to forget about the late winter storms happening here in southern Ontario.

If you love this bundle, you will want to order it before May 25, after that any stampsets are not guaranteed.  Most retiring items are available while supplies last.

Visit my on-line store here and don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack while you are there.

Hey there stampers,

It's September 1st and ya know what that means......Yep time for another Bog Hop with my Blogging Friends!

Today, we are celebrating our 1 year Blog-aversary! Can you believe it? One whole year has passed since we began this wonderful journey. And, because that is really something to celebrate - we have some awesome surprises for you - like a VERY special guest Blogging Friend and some of our veteran Blogging Friends have some candy to give awaySo, be sure to stop by all the blogs so you don't miss a thing!

First, let me show you the projects I made to share with you today....

My first project is a celebration card.  Of course!  I thought I would capture 2 celebrations at one time.  My middle son's baseball team finished 2nd at seasons end!  This was his first year playing baseball and he absolutely LOVED it!  All the success they had this season was a direct result of their coach.  So, a card was in order.  :)

I used my Stars Framelits and the Star Confetti Punch.  I also used the new Thoughtful Banner stampset with coordinating Duet Banner Punch.  The DSP is from the Floral Boutique pack and looks just like the stripes on their uniform!

My next set of projects are thank you gifts I made for some co-workers from my day job and I just LOVE how they turned out!

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to create these treat holders (a full sized chocolate bar fits very nicely inside). I used some of my favourite retired DSP from my stash to make these special thank you gifts.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing in our Blog-aversary!

Roger's Daytime

Hey there my stampin' friends,

Whew - this week went fast! Before I knew it, it was Friday.  Sometimes that is a good thing, but this week I could have used an extra day or so.  :)

I promised to show you the pictures from my latest adventure with Daytime TV on Roger's.  I always like to take pictures of my display on all my projects that I made.

The first picture is of my display.  The theme for this show is graduation.  I personally don't have anyone graduating this year, but next year, well, that is another story.

I thought about what colours are in most school colour scheme's and what colours can be used for both boys and girls.  SO, the DSP I chose to showcase is the Floral Boutique DSP.  I LOVE blue and white together.  I also added some gold foil sheets and some Melon Mambo to help pump up the wow factor.
I wanted to focus on giving gift cards.  I decided to use the Mini Treat Bag thinlits to create some fabulous and fun gift card holders.  They are the perfect size.  Here is one that I made using DSP to create the mini treat bag and then I added a belly band with Melon Mambo and some white ribbon.  Finally, I added some layered stars and my greeting.

I have seen so many ideas using mason jars on pinterest, I just had to create on graduation style!  I used some candy sticks I purchased at a bulk food store and I added the numbers of the graduation year.  I also cut some different size stars and attached them to some sticks as well.  Finally, I added a layered belly band with some layered stars and finally a banner using the new Duet Banner Punch and Thoughtful Banner stampset.   These would be really cute as table center pieces.

Another couple of styles of the gift card holder, Mini Treat Bag

I also made a picture frame with the year inside.  I really liked how this turned out!  I can picture this beside the cake.
Finally, I made a card.  See how in the frame I used the letters cut out?  Well on the card, I used the negative cut out of the letters!  This card was such a hit with my card class attendees.   I ended up finding a home of each of them!

Graduating with Hand Stamped Sentiments

Hi,
So glad you stopped by today!  I have a great project to share with you - it's from my most recent appearance on Roger's Daytime!  Stay tuned later this week, when I will have more projects from the TV show to share.

The theme for the show was graduation.  Do you need to prepare any graduation gifts this year?  I won't this year, but next year - wowzers!  I will have one graduating from Grade 8 and one from Grade 12 and it's gonna come fast, I am sure!

The design team over at Hand Stamped Sentiments had some great colour inspiration this week with challenge #240 (HSSCC240), so I tapped into it.

Here is one of the projects I created...

I hope I am not breaking the rules, but I substituted the Pink Piroutte for Melon Mombo.  (I was all out of Pink Piroutte).  I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to create a gift card holder.  I don't know about you but if I can make the gift card packaging more heartfelt, I don't feel so bad about not getting a present - even if it's what they asked for!  :)

I made the treat bag out of the new Floral Boutique DSP from the Annual Catalogue.  If you are a fan of navy and white, you are going to love this DSP.

I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to make the 'inside of the card'.  I stamped the sentiment on one side and used my glue dots to stick the gift card to the other.

I decorated the treat bag using some Melon Mombo cardstock (I didn't have any Pink Piroute) to make a 'belly band', then added a layer of ribbon.

I couldn't resist using my Star Thinlits to make a layered star - I am so happy that the gold and silver foil cardstock is back in the catalogue this year.

My sentiment is from the B.Y.O.P. stampset.  This set is perfect for gift cards for ANY occasion - a must have if you find yourself giving lots of gift cards.

I hope you enjoyed my project.  Be sure to stop on over to Hand Stamped Stentiments to see all of the wonderful creations and make sure your stop by my blog later this week and see all of the projects I made for my appearance on Roger's Daytime TV.

Roger's TV show Daytime - Springtime projects!

Hello stampers,

Today, I wanted to share with you all of the projects that I created for my latest appearance on Roger's TV!

I am a VERY lucky demonstrator who gets to feature Stampin'UP! products on the Roger's TV show Daytime.  It airs in my local area - Barrie, Ontario, 3 times per day - and I get to join them a few times a year.  While there I promote Stampin'UP!, the fabulous products we have and direct people to find their local demonstrator through the Stampin'UP! website.  SO, if you are reading this and you are a demonstrator - be sure to keeps your DSW active!

This show my focus was on Springtime projects, so I wanted to focus on the beautiful Butterfly Framelits, the wonderful Painted Petals and Butterfly Basics stampsets, the Painted Blooms DSP, the Curvy Keepsake Thinlit as well as the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

Here are some pictures of the projects that I made...

This first picture is of my whole display.  I have lots of great things here.  You can see the tools that I used to make the creations in the picture.  I have this on display while we create the projects on air!

Here is a close up of two of my projects.  I made some treat bags for the folks behind the scenes - the camera folks are so kind and helpful and I always try to bring them a little treat.  I used the Ornate Tag topper punch to help make the tags, the Butterfly Basics stampset gave me a nice little greeting and fern image and I used my Bitty Butterfly Punch to add a little dimension.

I wanted to use one of the pages from the Painted Blooms DSP to create nice spring shadow box.  Here I used my Butterfly Thinlits to create a big beautiful Monarch butterfly for the center of attention.  I also used the smallest thinlit and some vellum cardstock for a few other butterflies.  I added some strings of pearls on each one to pretty it up a little bit more.

Here is a picture of a pocket card.  We didn't make this live on the show, but we did talk about it and talked about how great it would be for an invitation - imagine it done with Vellum Cardstock - beautiful!

This card is a simple one using the the Spring Flowers Embossing folder, some DSP from the Painted Blooms DSP and I punch my greeting out using the Decorative Label Punch.

And last but not least, these beautiful butterfly curvy keepsake boxes.  I CASED this idea from my stampin' idol, Erica Cerwin.  She is so talented!  Check out her video on how  to make these here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Which project is your favourite?  Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
