Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

 Hi there,

so glad you could stop by for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop!  This month's theme is back to school!  Eeek!  I don't even want to think about getting this crew ready for it.  I even almost missed my blog hop this month - August has totally snuk up on me.  lol

My oldest is going into third year university, my second going into grade ten and my youngest will be in grade six.

Each and every year, I know my boys and their teachers all can use some hand sanitizer.  All those germs need some combat.  Decorating and creating holders for hand sanitizers are one of my favourite things to make.

Here is the one I created for the boys and their teachers this year.

How cute did this turn out?  I just love making strawberry punch art! For these strawberries, I used the Stitched Be Mine dies and cut out a heart in Real Red. I then used the Flourish Dies and cut one of the flowers in Old Olive for the stem.  I love all of the stitching and extra details that these dies have given my strawberry.  A perfect match I think.

Here is the scent of hand sanitizer.

The sanitizer simply slides in and out.  I used the Stitched Labels Dies to create the tag and my greeting is from Flourishing Phrases.  Of course I added a double twine bow to finish it off.

All three lined up ready to be delivered.

I think these are the perfect start of the year gift for teachers and students.

Be sure to hop on through all of the blogs to see what my friends have created for back to school.

Fall Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

 Happy September 1st everyone!

It's blog hop time with my blogging friends.  This month we are sharing projects made using a picture for inspiration!  It is a beautiful fall picture.

Image may contain: table and indoor

Beautiful, right?  It makes me want to start my fall decorating!

I was honoured in July to have added 3 new members to my Stampers Inkspired team!  I wanted to make them some thank you gifts and so I used this picture to help.

So, for my blog hop today I have two projects I created for their thank you goodie bag.

To start, I purchased some of the new fun fall hand soaps at Bath and Body works - I am a sucker for the pumpkin scents!  lol  So, I just had to decorate them up with some tags.  They are a very similar tag to one you would put on a wine bottle for a hostess gift, just smaller.  These measure 3" x 7" and then scored on the long side at 3".  I then used my 2" circle punch to create the hole for the nozzle to fit through.

One of my all time favourite things to do is punch art and fall is the perfect time!  I just love making pumpkins with my circle and oval punches or framelits.  I cut three of the same size and then sponge each of the edges.  My small circle pumpkin is made using Pumpkin Pie cards stock and ink and my larger pumpkin is made using Very Vanilla cardstock and Sahara Sand Ink.  The stems are a scrap of Old Olive.

The base of the tag is made using Early Espresso cardstock and the next layer is the Wood Textures DSP.  The greeting is from the Treehouse Adventure stampset, new in the annual catalogue!  I thought this greeting was fitting for a new demonstrator - what do you think?

My next 3D item to share is a hand stanitizer holder that I cased from one of my favourite demonstrators - Eric Cerwin of Pink Buckaroo Designs.  She has a video that shares how she made them and you can find that here.

I altered mine slightly and opted out of the peekaboo hole in the front.  The jars are made with the Every Day Jar Framelits and the greeting from the is from the Jar of Love stampset.  The colours I used are Real Red and Old Olive and the 'stem' is a scrap of Early Espresso.  I finished them off with some Twine.

I placed some apple scented hand sanitizer inside!  I just LOVE how they turned out.

The thank you bags were finished off with a pair of papersnips and a giant chocolate bar - can always use some chocolate.  Two of the bags have been delivered and I will be delivering one more next week!  So excited to share this adventure with them.

Now, be sure to hop on through our blog hop to see everyone's creation.  Next up is Rick - I always love to see what he creates.

Thank you Sunsine and Rainbows

Hi there!

Today, I wanted to share with you the second pillow /thank you gift I made for my team leader and my room mate.  I used a really awesome bundle that is retiring, although didn't know it at the time.   I am SO glad I used it and will have to get a few more projects in before it goes away for good.  Can you guess which one?

It is also fits with this week's theme over at Global Design Project!

It's the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle!!  I made a large matchbook style holder for the fun treat inside and used the bundle to create this really cute picture for the cover.  The base is Marina Mist, the rainbow colours are Real Red, Tangerine Tango , Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder.  The greeting is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, which is also retiring.  Eek!

And here is the treat inside....rainbow Ice flavoured gum!  Truly, I am not sure how it tastes, but the packaging was prefect for the Sunshine and Rainbow Bundle.  :)

I am going to love having this Bundle in my collection.  Perfect for all types of cards, scrapbook pages and 3D projects.  And, a great way to forget about the late winter storms happening here in southern Ontario.

If you love this bundle, you will want to order it before May 25, after that any stampsets are not guaranteed.  Most retiring items are available while supplies last.

Visit my on-line store here and don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack while you are there.

Thank you and Pillow Gifts

Hey there,

Glad you stopped by.  I have one of my 3-d pillow thank you gifts I gave to my leader as well as my roommate from On-stage.

I made these cute little Hand Sanitizer Holders using the Apron of Love Bundle!  I mean, who can't use some Sand Sanitizer, right? And the ones from Bath and Body Works are perfect for having in your purse.

I put a different saying on each apron.  This one is for my friend who introduced me to Stampin'UP!  It has brought so many wonderful new people to my life.  Can't thank her enough!

And this one is for my room mate, whom I had never met until On-Stage this year!  It was great fun to meet her and share what we love.  She loved the scent of hand sanitizer I chose for her.  :)

Of course I had to add those super cute little scissors from the thinlits for this bundle!  The hearts and the teeny tiny pocket too!

If you love this bundle, you will want to get it while it is still a bundle!!  After May 30th, they will only be sold separately and you won't be able to save 10%.

Click here for my on-line store to order yours.  Hostess code for this month is  V9QBDMHC.

I also had a message this morning that more awesome products were added to the Clearance Rack.

Halloween Theme Blog Hop - Yes Please!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hey there my stampin' friends,

It is October 1st!  I just love fall and I love the 2 holidays / celebrations that take place inside of this very tiny season.  I am SO happy that we are doing a Halloween theme for our hop this month!

I decided to make a 3-d item or 3 versions of the same item.  I just love making treat holders and halloween is one of my favourites to make treats for.

I just love the Home Sweet Home thinlits.  They are just SO cute and fun to make treat holders.  They make some fun little spooky houses or coffins.  Today I challenged myself to just use the thinlits and ONLY this set.

I was able to make three different designs and there are a ton more that you can make just for Halloween.  Imagine the possibilities for other holidays.

Do you have a favourite? I just love the little hearts, the tiny circles that I used to create the pumpkin, but I think my favourite part of the this set are those tiny little bones! OMGosh.  So stinkin' cute!

Also, really close to Halloween is one of my besties birthday, I always like making her a fall inspired card.  Here is the one I will be giving her this year.  I LOVE making pumpkins with my oval and circle punches.

My final picture is a craft that I made.  My besties and I had some much needed girl time and had come creative fun.

Please be sure to continue along with our blog hop.  I can't wait to see what Rick has created.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop October

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hello friends,

So glad you stopped by today.  It's the first of the month and so it's time for another Blog Hop with my Blogging Friends!

Our theme this month is fall!  I love this time of year.  The leaves are starting to change and the nights are cooler but still nice in the daytime.

With fall in mind, I decided to share with you some Halloween treats I made for a craft show I am attending this weekend.  It is a part of an award winning festival called Small Halls Festival - if you are ever in southern Ontario the first weekend in October, you MUST check it out!

Here are a couple of the treats I will be selling at the sale..

I used some new products from the Holiday catalogue as well as some old favourites.  The Cookie Cutter Punch and coordinating stampset is quickly becoming one of my new go to set for fall.  I just love all of the little characters that can be made with this set and the Christmas matching set as well!  My hold steady favourites here are Teeny Tiny Whishes and Georgous Grunge.

Here is another version using ghost chocolates and the skeleton!  I added a tiny little orange heart using the Cookie Cutter punch.

When I saw these gummy fang treats I knew exactly what I was going to use to pretty them up.  I coloured my Dracula using blender pens and my inkpads.

Now you much hop on through the stops.  Next up is Rick - he always has a fabulous project for us.  See you next time.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop September

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hey there stampers,

It's September 1st and ya know what that means......Yep time for another Bog Hop with my Blogging Friends!

Today, we are celebrating our 1 year Blog-aversary! Can you believe it? One whole year has passed since we began this wonderful journey. And, because that is really something to celebrate - we have some awesome surprises for you - like a VERY special guest Blogging Friend and some of our veteran Blogging Friends have some candy to give awaySo, be sure to stop by all the blogs so you don't miss a thing!

First, let me show you the projects I made to share with you today....

My first project is a celebration card.  Of course!  I thought I would capture 2 celebrations at one time.  My middle son's baseball team finished 2nd at seasons end!  This was his first year playing baseball and he absolutely LOVED it!  All the success they had this season was a direct result of their coach.  So, a card was in order.  :)

I used my Stars Framelits and the Star Confetti Punch.  I also used the new Thoughtful Banner stampset with coordinating Duet Banner Punch.  The DSP is from the Floral Boutique pack and looks just like the stripes on their uniform!

My next set of projects are thank you gifts I made for some co-workers from my day job and I just LOVE how they turned out!

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to create these treat holders (a full sized chocolate bar fits very nicely inside). I used some of my favourite retired DSP from my stash to make these special thank you gifts.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing in our Blog-aversary!
