Stampin Celebration Challenge with Sprinkles of Life!

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by!  Today, I am sharing the card I made for our Challenge over at Stampin' Celebration!  Have you seen the Inspiration?  Perfect for this time of year......summer treats!

Here is the Inspiration picture....

YUMO!  So, I just had to use my Sprinkles of Life stampset for this challenge - a perfect match, wouldn't you say?

When I first saw this picture - the blue, the sprinkles and the cherries were the first things that caught my eye.  Second, was the red and white and chocolate brown.  So, I wanted to incorporate all of these things into my card.

Here is the card I made...

I can't tell you how much I LOVE this stampset and coordinating punch!  Sprinkles of Life is Stampin'UP!'s charity stampset for the current annual catalogue.....for every set sold, Stampin'UP! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.  It's a win - win.

Be sure to join us for this really fun challenge!  I can't wait to see what you make!

Tag You're It!

Hey there!

Glad you stopped by today!  I have a card I made using the Tag You're It! challenge.  Have you been to their blog?  I just LOVE all of the wonderful tags that are created there each week!  Be sure to check them out!  You can find them here.

I LOVED this challenge because it featured flowers - and I am SO ready for spring!  Today is a really great step in that direction.  Here in Ontario, we are seeing temperatures above the freezing mark - yahoo!

Here is a picture of the design challenge.  Beautiful isn't it?  I love the way the leaves extend past the paper.

Here is my card I made with this design in mind.  I had my flower and leaves extend beyond the edge of the tag a bit to try to get the dimension of the challenge tag.  I took my colour inspiration from the patterned or Designer Series paper.  The flower that I chose from Flower Shop Stampset, I chose because of the lines - they looked just like 'scribbled' flowers and I thought the flowers in the challenge card used the same sort of 'scribbled' look.

I hope you enjoyed my card with a tag for today.

Valentines on Roger's TV

Hello my Stampin' friends,

Today I had the distinct please of being a guest on Roger's Daytime TV.  The theme was Valentine's Day of course!  We created some great project while I shared all the wonderful things happening at Stampin'UP!  Here are some pictures of my display....

My first picture is of my whole display.

I made a banner inside a 5 x 7 picture frame using the Hey, Valentine! stampset.  I coloured my little bird using the new Beldabilites.

I made two treat holders using the new Mini Treat Holder Thinlits Die - I just LOVE this die!  I decorated them using the Happy Heart Embossing Folder as well as the Hey, Valentine! stampset - I think it has to be my favourite Valentine set in this year!  Then I coloured them using the Blendabilites

Of course we made some cards too!  I used the You Plus Me as well as the Groovey Kind of Love stampset.  The Sweetheart punch came in really handy for this too!

I also made some treat bags using our great cello bags and different stamps and punches.

And finally, my kids and I made these treat sleeves using the 1 x 8 cello bags with some hearts on top.

I had a lot of fun with my friends at Daytime!  I can't wait to see them again!

Christmas with Freshly Made Sketches #162

Hey there my Stampin' friends,

Thank you for dropping in today!  I don't know where the time has passed since I last blogged.  Where have I been?

Well, I have stamped at 2 private parties - it is always fun to meet some great new stampin' friends - and hockey, hockey, hockey!  All three of my boys are right in the midst of their hockey season!  I have to admit, I LOVE to watch them play!

Well, you stopped by to see a new card from me.....and I have a Christmas card to show you today.  I decided to get into the grove using the great sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches!  This is a good one!

I knew I wanted to use the stampset Merry Everything.  And I knew that I wanted to use the stamp "A Very Merry Everything  to you and Yours" - I think it is perfect for the chalkboard technique!  This set is awesome to have...I have used it for Thanksgiving, Halloween and now Christmas.  It even has a matching punch!

I started with a Real Red card base and layered it up with Whisper White embossed using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder - I think it looks like snow!  I added a strip of Red Glimmer paper to add some sparkle to my card.

I stamped my image onto Basic Black Cardstock and used my Scalloped Tag Punch to make it into a tag.  I wanted to use this punch because it is wider then the Note Tag Punch that is a perfect match to the set.

I used the smallest star in the Star Framelit set and used my mini star punch from my Mini Merry Punches set.  I finished my card off with a little ribbon bow.

Be sure to stop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see all of the fabulous creations!

Perfect Pennants with the Paper Craft Crew

Hi there,

Glad you stopped by!  I have a card to show you that I created using the sketch over at the Paper Craft Crew challenges blog....in particular sketch #114!

I wanted to use some of my DSP from last year's pattern stack.....and not use it for a Christmas card!  I had birthday on my mind, birthday that can be used for kids or an adult, and this sketch was perfect for it!

Here is my card

My colours are Pool Party,Basic Grey and Whisper White.

I used my Scalloped Tag Punch, Tiny Star Punch from Mini Merry Punches, retired Star Punch - easily replicated with the Star Framelits - 1/2 " Circle Punch and corner rounder.

The stampset is Perfect Pennants, first stamped in Basic Grey onto the tag, then again in Pool Party on a scrap and used the 1/2" Circle Punch to get just the 'a'.  Then I raised it up using a dimensional.

I hope you enjoy my card.

Peachy Keen!

Hello there!

Glad you stopped by today.  I have a very quick and easy card to show you today and it features one of my all time favourite punches - Scalloped Tag Punch!

I wanted to make a card that would be suitable for a quick note for one of my fiends and so this is what I came up with.

I used some great colours, Basic Grey, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizzazz.  I found some polka dot DSP from last year's Halloween pack that I hadn't used yet for one of my layers and I used my Pansy Punch to make a flower in Pear Pizzazz.

Here is a close up of my tag.  I used the Peachy Keen stampset for the greeting and one of the little flowers from the stampset Mixed Bunch, great for some background stampin' and the center of my flower.  A bright and cheerful card for one of my besties!

Mother's Day Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card!

Hello there!

I have a mother's day card to show you today that I have entered into the Stampin' Royalty Challenge #227 - May Flowers!  If you haven't arrived here from there, make sure you stop by, the inspiration is gorgeous as usual!

My card features another retiring Stamp set - Delightful Dozen!  I can't believe this one is retiring!  It has to be one of my 'go to' stamp sets.  It has, yep you guessed it, a dozen occasions that can be used for...mother's day, father's day, birthday, Easter, Valentines.....

I also decided to try this Scallped Tag Punch card I have been seeing all over the internet!  It was really fun to try! It is a total layout case from Tanya Bell. You can see her video tutorial here.  Super talented to have thought of this!  Another awesome reason to have this punch in your collection!

Go ahead and give this layout a try!  It makes such a pretty card!

Whisteria Wonder and Pals Paper Arts 196

Hi there my stampin' friends.

I found this awesome sketch challenge over at Pals Paper Arts.  Make sure you stop in there to have a look at all of the great cards that were made using this sketch as inspiration.

Here in southern Ontario, we had yet another dumping of snow on the weekend - I'm talking 'bring out the snow blower' amount of snow!  UGH!  I am so done with winter!

So, I decided to use my card as a spring pick- me-up!  I used some Whisteria Wonder and some pretty butterflies to create a little spring feeling.

Here is the card I created.  I like how it turned out.  What do you think?

I started with Whisteria Wonder card base, a layer of Elegant Eggplant, a layer of Whisper White and then a layer of Whisteria Wonder DSP.  I also made a Whisper White tag using the new Scallped Tag Topper Punch - it is an awesome punch to have in your collection!  Imagine the possibilities!

I made a layered butterfly using the Elegant Butterfly punch with Eggplant cardstock and using the Bitty Butterfly punch with some scraps of DSP.  My greeting is from the Perfect Pennants stampset from the Occasions Catalogue.  I finished the tag with some Chevron Ribbon in Whisteria Wonder and some white Baker's Twine.

Thank you for stopping by!
