You can see a sneak peek of all 11 projects in the picture above.  Here is a sneak peek of project included in the tutorial!  ;)

I can't share the tutorial project, but I can share a second project featuring the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.

In my second project, I used the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper.  I love this Bumble Bee pattern and the dragonflies are from another pattern from the DSP pack the punch matches perfectly.

If you position the punch on the two dragonfly sizes shown above, they will cut out perfectly!

I framed the DSP using a couple of layers, one made using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The other a Mossy Meadow rectangle cut using my paper trimmer.

So how do you get your hands on the free tutorial bundle?

Valentine's Day Custom Cards

 Hello there!

Today in Ontario Canada, we celebrate Family Day!  Usually, my family visits my parents where we have some pond hockey, chili to eat and usually a birthday cake for me.  :)  This year we will be following the COVID protocols and look forward to next year.

In the mean time, let me share with you the Valentine's Day cards I made for a wonderful couple to give.

The first was a card made to give to their parents.  So cute! used the Retired Grandma's House Stampset, Itty Bitty Christmas Stampset, Stitched So Sweetly, Be Mine Stitched Dies and my favourite Stampin' Blends.

Next card is a love card.  I used the retired Parisian Dies (I cut out three of them and layered them to really give some dimension) and the Stitched Shapes Dies.💕

My next two cards were made for their daughters so I couldn't resist creating some Valentine's day Gnomes.

Lots of punches and dies on these!  Stitched So Sweetly (of course - can't seem to make a card without these lately), retired Tropical Dies, Pine Tree Punch, Small Oval Punch (nose and feet) and Heart Punch Pack.

And another, same card, different patterns.

Love these cards and love to help people send love to their families.

Here is a sneak peek of my project included in the tutorial!

I can't share the tutorial project, but I can share a second project featuring the Hearts and Kisses Bundle.  This is such a fun bundle and we haven't had anything like it before.

In my second project, I created a love card using those lips as the 'O' in the word love for this super special valentine's day card.  I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to create the rest of the word.   If you are a scrapbooker, these dies are a must have!

The colours I used are , Pool Party and Melon Mambo.  My ribbon was white, but I coloured it with Pool Party Dark Stampin' Blends.

They other items featured are the Stitched So Sweetly dies (my favourite!), vellum for a simple layer and the Melon Mambo layer is embossed using the Subtle Embossing folder.  So pretty.

Love You More Than

Happy Monday!

Have you noticed the Nothing's Better Than Bundle in the Annual Catalgoue?  I did, but haven't played with it until now!  I know - I can't believe it.

It is the perfect set to cheer up some friends from afar!  My besties and I try to have a weekend away two times a year where we scrapbook and recharge our momma batteries.  We have missed two now due to COVID, but when I saw this set, I immediately thought of them! 💖 Purchasing this bundle will get you a FREE item during Sale-a-bration (just sayin').

The folks over at Global Design Project, has an awesome sketch to play along with this week, so thought I would join the fun.

The possibilities are endless with this bundle.  Here I made a card for a baker.  I used the In Good Taste DSP - this one looks like a kitchen backsplash tile.

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to create the cookie baking pan and the retired Apron Builder Dies for the spatula.  Love how it turned out.

Be sure to stop by the Global Design Project Blog to see of the creations used with the sketch this week.

January 2021 Creative Stampers Tutorial Blog Hop

January 2021 Creative Stampers Tutorial Blog Hop

I can't share the tutorial project, but I can share a second project featuring the Corner Bouquet stampset.

In my second project, I used the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper (which can be earned by spending $60).  I love this pattern and the colours are vibrant, bight and cheery.

The main feature of my card is the Corner Bouquet stampset.  It can be used in many ways, today I decided to colour the stamp using Stampin' Write Markers.  Some tips I have when colouring your stamp:

  • first colour with the colour used on the largest part of the stamp
  • colour using the lightest colour last
  • 'hough' on the stamp before stamping to help moisten the stamp
  • stamp the first time on a scrap of paper, don't clean your stamp,  then colour it again and stamp on your card, it is much brighter and the image is full
The colours I used are Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade and Bumblebee.

So how do you get your hands on the free tutorial bundle?

There are several ways to earn the Tutorial Bundle:

1. place any size order from my online store or though me between January 1 - 31, 2021 and get the PDF for FREE

Thank you International Blog Highlight

 Hello stampers,

Thank you for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I have made using some free items I have earned and that you can earn too!  Starting January 5th, for every $60 you spend you can earn a free item.  Free is good, right!

I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge with this card!  The theme is 'thank you'.  So I have created a thank you card to join the fun.  We can all use more Thank you cards in our stash - there are so many people we can be thanking during the pandemic and a handmade card is a beautiful way to do it.

Here is my card!   Can you spot the free items?

If you guessed the Designer Series Paper and the stampset, you guessed right!  LOL

I love this paper and I have been using it a ton!  It is called Flower and Field Designer Series Paper and it has many pretty colours in the patterns.  This helps create many colour combinations using this as your starting point.

The stampset is called Corner Bouquet.  There are so many ways to use this stampset, today I have coloured it using my Stampin' Write Markers.

If you like my card, I would love to have your vote!  Please stop by Kylie's blog and place your vote.  You can do that by clicking the button below.  ;)  thank you!

Sale A Brate Good Times - Come on!

Hello there,

Happy new year!  Well 2020 is finally over and 2021 is here and let's make it a good one!

With the start of a new month comes a Blog Hop with my Blogging Friends.  I just love to hop on through and see all of the creations this group has to share.  This month there are so many wonderful new things happening in the Stampin'UP! world and the most exciting is Sale-a-bration.  That is the best sale of the year where you earn free stuff!

So on this hop we are featuring products you can earn for FREE!  Today I am going to share with you two cards I created using the Darling Donkeys stampset.

My first card depicts how we all feel about 2020!  One of these cute little donkeys is kicking up his heels and I positioned him to kick 2020.  I saw versions of this one line and had to put my spin on it.

I used my Stampin' Blends in Basic Grey and Crumb Cake and Petal Pink for his ears.  Then I fussy cut him out and popped him up using dimensionals.  The numbers are from the Playful Alphabet dies.  The Scalloped Stitched Rectangle and the confetti stamp are from the So Sentimental Bundle

I couldn't resist using the Word Wishes Dies to wish my card recipient a happy new year!

For my next card, I wanted to feature another of the Darling Donkeys as well as one of the many Designer Series Papers you can earn for FREE!

This cute little guy I coloured in using the same Stampin' Blends colours, just in reverse and the flower is in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

I wanted to use some Flirty Flamingo ribbon, but didn't have any - Stampin' Blends to the rescue!  I simply coloured my ribbon with my Dark Flirty Flamingo.

Be sure to hop on through all of my friends blogs to see all of the project made with FREE products you can earn.

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  Do you sing the Christmas carol when you read that?  I do.  That is the theme this week over at The Paper Players and I just had to play along.

I realized I hadn't shared my cards that I made for my Coming Home Card Class To-Go and this one is perfect for this challenge.

The Coming Home Bundle is a really great one to have in your stash.  When I first saw it, I thought meh.  I just wasn't sure.  but I have to tell you it is my most used bundle of the Christmas season.

for this card, I used only the dies and I love how it turned out.

I used the Designer Series Paper to help me decide on the colours to use.  Old Olive, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.

Be sure to stop over at The Paper Players to see all of the Christmas creations.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Yah!  It's Friday of a long weekend!  It is labour day here in Ontario and this weekend signifies the end of summer.  I do love fall and all that comes with it, so it is a bitter sweet weekend.

Our blog hop theme for September is the Harvest Moon.  For me, this signifies fall, thanksgiving and all things that I am thankful for.  This year especially, there are many things that I am thankful for.

You see, by day I am a Human Resources Manager, by night a wife, mom and paper crafter!  My day job this year has been extremely busy creating safety plans and processes and implementing procedures that will keep our staff safe.  I couldn't have done it without 4 very special ladies that always jumped in to help every time I asked.  To thank them, I created a little gift bag with some goodies that I will share next week.  But for our blog hop, I want to share the thank you card that I made for them.

The colours I used are Grey Granite, Whisper White and Melon Mambo.

You can see that there is much layering.  I really love the look of multiple layers.

Here I used Grey Granite for the cardbase, a layer of Whisper White, a layer of Grey Granite DSP, a Stitched Scalloped Grey Granite rectangle and a Whisper White Stitched Label.  Both were cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I just love these dies.

The greeting is from So Sentimental.  Those tiny little hearts have been sitting on my craft table for some time, and they are left from the row of small hearts from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.

Be sure to hop on through the projects made with the harvest moon in mind.

Back to School Theme

 Happy Tuesday everyone,

I don't know about you, but fall is really my favourite time of year.  The anticipation and excitement for all of the festivities on the horizon and the much needed structure and steadiness of this season is much appreciated by this mom of three!

So when The Paper Players had a back to school theme, I was super excited to join the fun!

And let's be honest, as a paper crafter, any excuse to stock up on paper, tools and supplies - I am in!  This year back to school might look a little different, depending on where you are, but there are still some things to get excited about and getting some supplies is on my list of excitement.

Here is a card I recently created for my Card Class To-Go that is perfect for back to school.

I just love this Beautiful World Bundle is perfect for anyone who is going away to school.  Thinking of my oldest who is in university, this card is perfect!  I love that this set has two globes, one with north america showing and the other with our other continents.

I framed it using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The colours I have used are Night of Navy and Seaside Spray.

Thank you for stopping by!  Looking for more back to school ideas, check out another post here
